800gns Newmarket January 2020; fourth foal; half-sister to HK 5f winner Yee Cheong Lucky, out of 5f-6f 2yo winner. In good hands, but late to the racecourse and probably best watched on debut.
$35,000 yearling; fourth foal; half-sister to three winners, the best of whom is Dramatic Queen (1m-1m6f, inc. Group 3). Dam Listed-placed 1m-2m winner. Trainer 13% over five seasons with 3yos, though not fully firing of late.
Daughter of Golden Horn, out of a Raven's Pass mare. 5-1 and just a touch green on debut at Newmarket last September, when under 4L third (1m, good to firm). That looks good form to bring into this, and she should be a player.
By Sea The Stars out of an unraced Indian Ridge mare. 10-1 on debut, when she ran green in finishing just over 4L sixth of 12 at Chelmsford. Stable's runners can often take a marked step up second time, so she is considered.
Showed some promise on debut at Wolverhampton last November, and stepped up on that on her recent reappearance at Kempton, when upped to 1m2f. That looks the strongest form in this field and she can go close.
Improved on a rather disappointing debut run when tried at Kempton (7f) last October. Still open to better, but will need to have come on significantly to trouble the principals.
Golden Pass looks capable of bettering last season's debut effort and should be a contender this time, while Hidden Sky could take a marked step up this time and is not ruled out. Queen's Favour needs to have improved a fair bit on what we have seen to trouble that pair, and preference is for LIGHTNESS, who went close last time and is taken to go one better.
