Forecasts
Oasis Prince (5/2), Sandret (4/1), Tinandali (7/1), Dark Lochnagar (15/2), Hot Team (8/1), Nicholas T (17/2), Star Of Southwold (11/1), Daawy (18/1), Caballero (40/1)
The finale lacks a standout contender. Oasis Prince still hasn't fully proved himself in terms of stamina over 1m2f, while Ben Haslam's Sandret continues to climb steadily up the weights. Dark Lochnagar was probably a shade unfortunate not to win a jumpers' bumper at Newcastle earlier in the year (stamina ebbed away), and while he promises to be suited by dropping back-in-trip, his trainer Keith Dalgleish (also saddles Caballero) could be in better form. Therefore, on just his second start for Richard Fahey, the tentative choice is the ground versatile four-year-old HOT TEAM.
- Hot Team
- Dark Lochnagar
- Oasis Prince
