Ran in accordance with large odds when eight of 12 at Beverley (1m4f; good) last week. Below form for a little while now and subsequently fallen 1lb below last winning mark. Record of 0-9 on the AW means he is hard to enthuse over.
C&D winner but poor form since has led to her being 7lb below that mark and she has a patchy profile overall. Been in quiet form in three starts this year, including when sixth behind Janus (2nd) in March.
Finally came good when scoring over C&D in February and has since followed that up with solid efforts in defeat. Unlucky not to regain winning thread when beaten a neck into second on seasonal debut over C&D, and major claims of justifying that.
13-race maiden on the flat. Has produced a couple of fair placed efforts in defeat but has never been able to back up an encouraging run before. Also has a 421-day absence to defy so others look more reliable.
Failed to kick on since breaking duck at Leicester (1m4f; good) last season. String of low-key efforts have followed. Subsequently now just 1lb above her last winning mark. Didn't look like a revival was on the cards last time so is ruled out.
Yet to convince since switched to handicaps. Extremely difficult to see her reversing Chelmsford form with Sea Sister given how far she finished behind her. Can be readily overlooked given how little she has shown in short career so far.
Distant third in a weak race at Chelmsford (1m2f; standard) in March. Goes back up to 1m4f but doesn't look one to bank on as he is far from consistent. 10lb below last winning mark and losing run beginning to mount up.
Posted yet another meagre effort when 12th of 13 over C&D when last seen in February. Now 16lb below last winning mark but looks nowhere near being ready to take advantage of that given woeful run of form he is in.
Showed improved form when runner-up to Lilypad at Chelmsford (1m6f; standard) earlier this month. That mare ran honourably when just denied at that same track on Tuesday. Major claims off a 2lb higher mark given unexposed profile.

Forecasts
Janus (7/4), Sea Sister (11/4), Gorham's Cave (5/1), Lauberhorn Rocket (7/1), Settle Petal (15/2), Howardian Hills (15/2), Becky Sharp (8/1), Carvelas (20/1), Gibraltarian (25/1), Ezanak (33/1), Turnbury (50/1)
It would be wise to stick with the in-form runners in this field, and there are few to choose from when that is said. One who has to figure towards the top of any shortlist is Janus who has displayed a clear liking for this C&D in recent times and even if he takes a marginal step forward from his reappearance effort he should go close. Lauberhorn Rocket is also considered after he returned to winning ways earlier in the week. Connections must feel confident he is well within himself to turn him out so soon again. However, we'll go with the filly SEA SISTER who is yet to win a race but showed much improved form when runner-up to a good yardstick on the AW 10 days ago.
- Sea Sister
- Lauberhorn Rocket
- Janus
