Been in and out of form recently but is only 2lb higher than when winning over C&D in January. Needs to step forward markedly from low-key reappearance effort over C&D recently, and others look more progressive.
Posted clear career-best on handicap debut over C&D when a fast-finishing second. No chance with the winner who set a blistering early pace and got first run on the field. However, he should go one better if in similar form.
Turned in a below-par effort last time when seventh of nine at Kempton (7f; standard to slow). Almost got off the mark on handicap debut prior to that when a short-head second. Makes seasonal reappearance and needs to bounce back.
Majorly fluffed her lines on handicap debut when down the field on seasonal return to action at the start of the month. Showed enough ability last year to suggest she could be competitive in this sphere. Worth another chance on first try at 1m2f.
Gone backwards in three subsequent starts since making encouraging debut back in November. Showed zero improvement for switch to handicaps when well-beaten at Yarmouth (7f; firm) recently. Steps up to 1m2f which must yield marked improvement.
Eased down when last of six on handicap debut at Southwell (1m; standard) in March. Has gone backwards since posting a highly promising debut effort, so has plenty to prove on this first run for three months.
Half-brother was a winner over 1m4f on the AW which offers some hope he may improve for the step up to 1m2f on this handicap debut. Not been disgraced over 1m in two maidens at the backend of last season. Place claims.
Produced career-best to almost get off the mark at the third time of asking when she finished a neck runner-up to Astroman at Wolverhampton (1m; standard). Only been raised 2lb and the step up to 1m2f may yield further progress.
Didn't show much as a two-year-old but has the appearance of a typical improver from this yard. Stepped up in trip on handicap debut and is highly likely to take a sizeable step forward. Market likely to prove informative to.

Forecasts
Pawpaw (1/1), Decora (9/2), Lismore (5/1), Morning Shadow (14/1), Olivers Pursuit (16/1), Mr Shady (18/1), Platinum Prince (20/1), Diva Kareem (20/1), Elpheba (20/1), Mystic River (25/1)
This has the appearance of an entertaining middle-distance three-year-old handicap. Morning Shadow, Diva Kareem and Mystic River have masses to prove after disappointing of late. It would be foolish to think Lismore won't improve this season as many from this source tend to, especially when stepped up in trip. Decora is also on the shortlist having done nothing wrong in three starts, but ready preference is for PAWPAW. The selection stepped up on her previous efforts to almost make a winning handicap debut recently. With there unlikely to be as much pace in the race, and off just a 2lb higher mark she can get off the mark at the fifth attempt.
- Pawpaw
- Lismore
- Decora
