Twice-raced 4yo (the only one in the field), both races over 1m4f on the AW, now makes his turf debut. Well held so far in those events, now gelded, looks to face a tough task and makes limited appeal.
Stable have blossomed in the past week (one of the most in-form in the country). Will need to work their magic on this one who went with very little promise on his AW debut at Kempton (1m4f, slow), weakened 2f out, looks one for the longer-term.
Fairly useful maiden (0-6) who returns to maiden company having been run in handicaps the last three times including on his 3yo reappearance from a nine-month break. Creditable efforts most outings (up in trip here); vulnerable to improvers.
Nicely-bred sort (half-brother to several winners); given a considerate introduction over 1m at Newcastle recently. Shaped well without being harshly treated (didn't get the clearest of passages), scope for improvement, up in trip, sound chance.
Half-sister to three winners, including 6f winner Angel Of Darkness and 11.6f winner Maroon Bells so should have some ability. Showed very little on 1m4f AW debut at Kempton (last of 12), may know more this time, others preferred.
Fairly useful maiden form (rated 80); failed to match the form of her final 2yo start (3rd in Class 2 novice, Newmarket 1m, soft) on reappearance (beaten favourite). Out of her depth last time in Lingfield Oaks Trial; finds a better opportunity here.

Forecasts
Lord Of The Alps (11/10), Sly Minx (13/8), Ray's The One (9/2), Inky Blinder (20/1), Aethon (33/1), Atailof Two Cities (66/1), Dreadnoughtus (200/1)
Trainer Mick Channon looks to have found a good opportunity if not quite an open goal for his 80-rated filly SLY MINX here. Outclassed last time in the Lingfield Oaks Trial her earlier form especially that of her last 2yo run ought to be good enough to see off the two main male protagonists. Ray’s The One would have found the Tapeta 1m on the sharp side for his debut earlier in the month but nonetheless turned in a performance full of promise and he should go on from that up in trip. Lord Of The Alps despite some sound enough performances now looks rather exposed and vulnerable, looks as though this trip will suit but would have more chance in a handicap.
- Sly Minx
- Ray's The One
- Lord Of The Alps
