Well related Dark Angel filly who scored over 5f on her only start last term at Thirsk over 5f. Bred to do better at this trip and with her stable in form she should go well assuming a wind operation has had the desired effect.

Yard flying since return to racing. Daughter of Dansili made a winning debut over this trip at Kempton last year, overcoming greeness to hang on in novice event from which the second, third and sixth have won since. Solid claims.

Kingman filly out of a 1m2f winner. Didn't show a huge amount on only start when 8th of 10 on heavy ground at Haydock in September but may do better on the anticipated sounder surface. Has a bit to find though with the previous winners.

Cost a hefty 600,000gns as a foal. By Invincible Spirit out of mare who has produced a Listed and a Group 3 winner. Could be anything and market should indicate how she is rated when compared to stable companion Cressida.

Forecasts

Cressida (4/5), Althiqa (11/8), Spiritus Sanctus (10/1), Emma Cappelen (22/1)

Verdict

John Gosden sets a poser saddling the once raced winner CRESSIDA and the 600,000 guineas newcomer Spiritus Sanctus. Jockey bookings suggest the Kempton winner, who was green when scoring on her debut, is preferred. Althiqa has been off since winning her only start over 5f at Thirsk in May last year. She has obviously had her issues and steps up in trip but a bold show is very much on the cards. Emma Cappelen has quite a bit to find on the evidence of her quiet run on debut at Carlisle last year.
  1. Cressida
  2. Spiritus Sanctus
  3. Althiqa
