Winner of two of his four starts to date, but best effort came when fifth in the Group 3 Acomb Stakes at York in August; gelded since last run, not guaranteed to appreciate the step up in trip but yard going well, and chances in an open race.

Won on debut here last July and ran well in better company after that, although well below par on final start; may not want a lot more rain but should appreciate this trip, and has to be taken seriously for a yard going well.

Disappointed on soft ground on final start of last season, but had looked progressive before that, scoring over 1m at Ayr; gelded since last run, should stay 10f+ this year and as long as some cut in the ground doesn't inconvenience, has chances.

Steady progression as a 2yo, culminating in him finishing runner-up over a mile at Doncaster in October; is a half-brother to top stayer Dee Ex Bee, so every chance he will improve for a step up in trip, and yard still going well.

It's Good To Laughp224
Age: 3|  Weight: 9-1| J: Tom Marquand| T: C G Cox| OR:  87
3/1
Ran to a high level on all four starts last year., althoigh you'd be hard pushed to say he improved an awful lot, and the cheekpieces tried on his final start had little effect; gelded since last run, and on balance, best watched today.

Forecasts

It's Good To Laugh (3/1), Morisco (10/3), Man Of The Night (7/2), Gold Souk (4/1), Tell Me All (9/2)

Verdict

If the rain comes, it rather throws an open contest even more open, with none of the five having any experience of ground with cut in it. GOLD SOUK ought not fail for a lack of stamina, being related to the good stayer Dee Ex Bee, and maybe he is the answer to a tricky heat. Tell Me All is another that should improve for going up in distance and he looks the main danger, with Man Of The Night best of the rest.
  1. Gold Souk
  2. Tell Me All
  3. Man Of The Night
