Very green on debut at Salisbury but showed a much better attitude when winning at Kempton in September. Good chance of further progression here and has an experience edge on the field.
Put up a big performance when winning over this trip at Kempton on debut in October. Yard do exceptionally well with their younger horses and improvement expected.
Dutch Art gelding, brother to a winner and half-brother to two useful sorts including a Group 3 winner over this trip. Yard capable of readying a debutante but early gelding operation a little off putting.
Ivawood colt, cost 40,000 gns as a foal. Half-brother to seven winners including Group 2 winner Rajasinghe, dam a winning sprinter. Green on debut at Chelmsofrd last year but better expected.
€175,000 Breeze-up purchase, looked like he would improve for the experience at Newbury in September. May need further than this.
Gleneagles gelding, cost £42,000 as a yearling. Dam a 6f winner and a half-sister to Group 1 winner Kingsgate Native. Wears blinkers for debut and worth a market check.
Sidestep gelding, cost 32,000 gns as a yearling. Showed nothing on debut at Windsor when failing to beat a rival home; needs to leave that form a long way behind on second start here.
Sir Percy filly, half-sister to 6f winner. Dam a sister to a winner over this trip. Yard no known for success with debutantes and others preferred.
Showcasing filly, half-sister to four winners including talented stayer Red Galileo. Dam Listed placed. May want further than this but yard have a good strike-rate with debutants so worth a market check.
Has failed to beat a rival home in two AW starts and one that might do better when tackling handicaps.
Sir Percy filly, 4,000 gns foal. Dam a sister to 6f Listed winner. Tough ask on debut in a race of this strength.
Forecasts
Higher Kingdom (10/11), Haqeeqy (3/1), Ametist (9/2), All You Wish (6/1), Like Sugar (33/1), Dutugamunu (50/1), Inner Treasures (66/1), Shandrani Sunrise (80/1), Vitare (100/1), Dendermonde (250/1), Rhythmic Motion (250/1)
All You Wish and HIGHER KINGDOM may have to give weight to the rest of the field here but they set a useful standard to aim at and the preference is for the latter with improvement expected from an impressive debut effort. Inner Treasures might be capable of hitting the frame and has the assistance of first-time blinkers.
- Higher Kingdom
