Green on debut at Newmarket in October but off the mark next month at Wolverhampton over 7f. Should improve again this term, though penalty makes things tougher here.

Muhaarar colt fetched €420,000 as a yearling and immediately set about repaying the debt with debut win at Ascot (7f, good to firm; 10-3) in September (front two clear). More to come and big claims despite penalty.

Son of Lethal Force was already gelded when justifying strong market support to take Wolverhampton median auction in March without much fuss. This is clearly tougher but likely to progress.

Dutch Art gelding, clearly didn't give running on debut at Ascot in May 2019 and off since. Entitled to leave that effort behind and start again.

Pulled too hard on debut at Leicester (7f, good to firm) in September having gone off 13-8fav, the Exceed and Excel colt should know more now and likely improver for Godolphin.

Nathaniel filly with a pair of heavy defeats over further on AW at Kempton and Lingfield in the spring. Unlikely the switch to turf/drop in trip can turn things around dramatically.

Forecasts

Enemy (1/2), Cityzen Serg (9/2), Additional (6/1), Mister Snowdon (10/1), Warning Shot (12/1), Cosa Orga (12/1), Angelic Time (12/1), Fair Man (50/1), Brunel's Boy (66/1), Blackcurantspangle (100/1), Belynda (250/1), Kylla Looks (250/1)

Verdict

Enemy is the obvious starting place, with the expensive son of Muhaarar having made a winning start at Ascot back in September. He's a likely improver and sets the standard, but he's penalised and the early betting suggests he's going to be very short in a race with some depth. Fellow winners Mister Snowdon and Angelic Time also have scope for better things but Wolverhampton second CITYZEN SERG might trump them all. He'll have learned plenty from that outing and should be just fine down in distance. Warning Shot is surely better than his debut run (keen) while newcomer Additional is worth paying attention to.
  1. Cityzen Serg
  2. Enemy
  3. Warning Shot
