Unraced since September. His win last August was in a maiden hurdle and he needs improvement in this handicap. Seen mostly on the Flat, he has never raced on soft or heavy.
Well beaten in August and October on her last two starts for Gavin Cromwell. Peak efforts last summer, both delivered at this track, give her a chance but there are major doubts about her on soft ground.
33-1 but made most when close second of 25 on handicap debut at Leopardstown (2m, soft) at Christmas. Not so good, however, again from the front, when favourite at Thurles next time. Moves up in trip.
Won a seven-runner maiden over a slightly longer trip here last August on good ground. Very opposable on this season's handicap form and also judged on last four outings, albeit with the last three over fences.
Inconsistent, ten-race maiden but his close second in 21-runner handicap at Fairyhouse (2m4f, heavy) on penultimate start showed he's capable of a bold show if this is another of his good days. Cheekpieces enlisted.
Won a bumper at Tramore last October and has shown some ability in maiden hurdles since. More is needed from her but she is worth a market check on this handicap debut.
Fourth of 15 off 2lb higher at Punchestown (2m) in January gives him a squeak. Below form next two starts but he then wasn't done with when falling two out at Leopardstown on latest outing.
Better in his two handicaps, on latest when runner-up from off the pace at Gowran Park (2m4f, heavy). Fluffed the last flight that day. Up 3lb but lightly raced and one to consider.
Ran in three maiden hurdles last term and in three chases this season. Third on handicap debut at Navan (2m1f, heavy) when a tongue-tied favourite on latest start but he was beaten 17L. Back hurdling with plenty to prove.
Won off 4lb lower at Wexford last June and very good second at Cork in July. Tailed off, however, in August on final run for Noel Hynds and same story at Leopardstown three weeks ago on first run for new connections. Possibly needed that run.
More competitive again when fourth of 15 at Fairyhouse (2m4f, heavy) on latest outing. Needs to build on that.
Uncompetitive in seven of his eight starts but his penultimate outing was a notable exception, when challenging strongly at the final flight in handicap at Punchestown (2m4f, soft/heavy) only to stumble and fall. Pulled up latest.
Sent hurdling in the autumn and left Joseph O'Brien before latest outing. Never-nearer fourth of 20 to Wajaaha on that handicap hurdle debut at Leopardstown (2m, soft) and there was promise in that performance; shortlisted.
Bits of form, including his third of six on handicap hurdle debut at Limerick (2m) on penultimate start. Well beaten at Naas on latest, though.
Won a maiden point-to-point in April 2018 but no worthwhile form at hefty odds in his five starts under rules. This is his handicap debut.

Severus Alexander (4/1), Bread And Butter (9/2), Accidental Rebel (9/2), Kilmurry (13/2), Hell On Earth (10/1), Odds Or Evens (12/1), Fassbender (14/1), Silk Worm (16/1), Cappuccino Man (16/1), Walking In Memphis (16/1), Benefit North (20/1), Cousin Harry (28/1), All Class (33/1), Natural Breeze (33/1), Dreal Deal (50/1), Dessie Deschamps (66/1), Dollar Value (66/1), My Peggy (100/1)
Fourth of 20 to Wajaaha (due to run 2.10 today) at Leopardstown on his first run for Gavin Cromwell was sufficiently encouraging for SEVERUS ALEXANDER to be given the vote, despite this longer trip. Bread And Butter’s presence makes Cromwell’s hand even stronger, as he too is a leading contender following his second at Gowran Park. Some of their rivals, such as Silk Worm, are unexposed. Others, including Accidental Rebel and Cousin Harry, have bits of form that make them interesting.
- Severus Alexander
- Bread And Butter
- Silk Worm
