Lightly-raced maiden well beaten and never a factor in four career starts over hurdles since his debut run at Cork in November. Vast improvement needed to figure.

Five-race maiden. Well beaten and no impression in a couple of starts at Thurles and more recently at Leopardstown earlier this month. First time cheekpieces unlikely to bring about the required amount of progression needed to land a blow here.

Fame And Glory gelding out of a Monsun mare. Well held beaten over 25L on each of his three starts over timber since October. Not seen since November and likely to be of more interest when sent handicapping.

Well held on debut in a Thurles bumper in November before a couple of desperate efforts over hurdles last month and earlier this, beaten over 140L on each occasion. Others preferred.

Posted a career best effort over hurdles when finishing fifth of 17 beaten over 7L in a Thurles maiden over 2m5f on soft ground last month. One for the shortlist dropping in trip.

Gelding by Milan out of a Dashing Blade mare. German bred Dam finished second in a Listed contest over 7½f. Improved run on latest start in a Navan 2m maiden hurdle on heavy ground last month in a race where the first two have won since.

Irish Wells gelding out of a Mansonnien mare. Not much to shout about in three wretched bumper efforts since May last year. Well behind on St Stephens day at Down Royal and others look more convincing as he makes his hurdling debut.

Fancied to run well at single-figure odds before finishing fifth of 14 beaten 21L in a Clonmel heavy ground maiden last month. Enters calculations.

Still without a win in 10 starts over hurdles and hasn't looked a winner in waiting in three starts since January. First time cheekpieces unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed to play a role here.
Not disgraced in three starts including on hurdling debut at Roscommon in August. Brought down at the first on return to action at Thurles last month but is worth consideration in this company.

Finishing positions flatter to deceive for the daughter of Yeats with the mare well beaten 67L on last bumper run at Limerick before a 66L reversal on hurdling debut at Clonmel last month. No surprise to witness improvement.

Lightly-raced daughter of Kalanisi. Three starts in maiden hurdles so far and beaten a total of 148L. Not seen since February 2018 and very little to be positive about on return to action.

Milan gelding who is a brother to Martello Tower who was smart over hurdles and fences. Well behind in three starts over hurdles before pulling up two out when tailed off on his latest appearance at Gowran Park last month.

Forecasts

Ujumpthelastuwin (7/4), Sunday At Julia's (5/2), Miss Punch (5/1), Handsworth (12/1), Western Rambler (12/1), Golden Apples (14/1), Ugo Du Misselot (16/1), Rebel Gold (18/1), Mr Manhattan (20/1), Colonel Lesley (40/1), The Lady Of Brega (66/1), Coppercoast Paudie (80/1), Martello Boy (80/1), Pistol Smoke (100/1)

Verdict

The Paul Nolan-trained SUNDAY AT JULIA'S can get off the mark at the fourth time of asking for connections following an improved effort on his latest start in a Navan 2m maiden hurdle on heavy ground last month in a race where the first two have won since. The five-year-old faces stiff competition in the shape of the Gavin Cromwell-trained Ujumpthelastuwin who finished 2L behind the selection at Navan last month. Miss Punch representing the trainer and Jockey Cheltenham Gold Cup winning combination of Willie Mullins and Paul Townend will look to improve on recent starts while it would come as no surprise to witness a marked improvement from the Henry De Bromhead-trained Golden Apples.
  1. Sunday At Julia's
  2. Ujumpthelastuwin
  3. Miss Punch
