Four-race maiden hurdler, weakened approaching the last when stepped up in trip in a Sandown 2m4f novices' contest at the beginning of last month. Likely to produce better over this distance.
Winner of three of his 25 starts over timber. Mixed bag of efforts in a number of starts between September and when last seen in November this season. Now races 5lb lower than last winning mark which has to be a concern on return from a lay-off.
Off the mark for connections at the fifth time of asking when landing a Newbury mares' handicap hurdle over a similar trip in December off a 4lb lower mark beating 11-rivals a neck. Beaten since but capable of a bold bid.
Course winner that has also won over this trip. Beaten over 20L in two starts over hurdles since the middle of January, both at Exeter. Needs to take a big step forward to get competitive in this company.
Has only appeared on five occasions since landing a Fontwell juvenile hurdle in December 2018. Generally well held in four of his five starts since including a 49L defeat over C&D when last seen in November.
Eight-race maiden over hurdles with the daughter of Milan failing to complete in two of her last three starts over timber since December. No realistic chance based on starts since the turn of the year.
Forecasts
Fresno Emery (7/4), Ambion Hill (7/2), Fair Kate (4/1), Voodoo Doll (6/1), Deputy Jones (8/1), Show On The Road (12/1)
The Tom Lacey-trained FAIR KATE can return to winning ways in the finale'. The six-year-old daughter of Fair Mix got off the mark for connections at the fifth time of asking when landing a Newbury mares' handicap hurdle over a similar trip in December off a 4lb lower mark beating 11-rivals a neck. Beaten since the mare can get the better of Fresno Emery whose mark continues to fall and is clearly better than his run over C&D when last seen in November suggests. Voodoo Doll with 7lb claimer Isobel Williams in the plate looks next best while Ambition Hill for trainer Colin Tizzard should not be taken lightly.
- Fair Kate
- Fresno Emery
- Voodoo Doll
