Winner of two of his six starts over the larger obstacles. Pulled up on return to action in a Doncaster 3m novice handicap last month. No surprise to witness improvement.
Deservedly off the mark at the seventh time of asking in a Wincanton 3m1f novice handicap off a 10lb lower mark last month. Would not have to improve too much ion that effort to land a blow here.
Not disgraced in a number of starts over fences since December but the distance beaten is a concern. Capable of a big run with notable jockey booking.
Winner of a Fontwell handicap chase on seasonal debut off a 1lb lower mark in October. Well beaten over 30L in two starts since but one to watch in the market taking a significant step up in trip.
Won here twice before and shapes as if this trip is within his compass. Races from 5lb higher than his last winning mark, though, and needs a lot to go his way.
Gamely followed up his Newton Abbot win in September to follow up at Exeter in November. Better than his two defeats at Wincanton suggest with the gelding no forlorn hope in this event.
Forecasts

PUTDECASHONTHEDASH got off the mark at the seventh time of asking in a Wincanton 3m1f novice handicap off a 10lb lower mark last month. The Doyen gelding had been running well in defeat in a number of starts prior to his win and can continue in good form in this event. Distance winner Flying Verse is better than his most recent run at Doncaster suggests and provide the biggest resistance to the selection. The Fergal O'Brien-trained Benechenko can go well with Johnathan Burke replacing Connor Brace who has piloted the eight-year-old on his last four starts. Adherence for trainer Tim Vaughan would not surprise if bouncing back to form on return to this venue.
- Putdecashonthedash
- Flying Verse
- Benechenko
