Outran odds of 33-1 when third at Musselburgh (3m, soft) last month after 413-day absence; 2018 hurdles winner over this sort of trip from higher mark and needs monitoring in market now attempting to build on that return effort.

Winner of a weak Sedgefield race in November in this grade, ending a long winless sequence, but has been struggling since in better races and needs a bounce back.

Improving with each of three hurdles runs since joining this trainer and finished clear in third most recently over similar trip at Catterick when never on terms with front two after hold-up ride; should have something to offer.

Denied the five-timer at Newcastle latest, though was right there bar late jumping error halting momentum; winning sequence included course success (2m5½, soft) in January and far from certain his latest third means he's finished improving.

Age: 6|  Weight: 10-8| J: Callum Bewley| T: K Scott| OR:  100
33/1
A two-time winner on the Flat, however, he has been a long way down the field on his three hurdles appearances so far. Must improve markedly for switch to a handicap.

Forecasts

Skyhill (9/4), Scottish Accent (11/4), Island Heights (3/1), Bryden Boy (7/2), Elite Icon (33/1)

Verdict

SKYHILL is just about the most reliable after missing out on the five-timer at Newcastle last time. He's a course winner already and may add to that tally. Scottish Accent is feared most having stayed on for third last time from the rear while Island Heights returned from a long absence with a sound effort at Musselburgh and is a player if building on that.
  1. Skyhill
  2. Scottish Accent
  3. Island Heights
