10-race maiden on Flat but should win a race or two over timber judged on two promising efforts so far. Runs in a handicap for first time with plenty of weight but is unexposed at the winter game.
Proved frustrating first 10 outings but got her act together last time when getting off the mark in good style in heavy ground at Ffos Las last week. Raised 8lb but rider claims 7lb back so every chance if recovered from her recent exertions.
Winning pointer but hasn't cut too much ice in four starts thus far over timber. Failed to get competitive over both 2m and 3m in heavy ground last two starts and will do well to shake them up here on that evidence.
Only win from 17 attempts over hurdles came two years ago at Chepstow in soft ground. Was second there in April last year and returned from lengthy absence when fading from 3 out over C&D last time. Should strip fitter but more needed to score.
Very modest form first six starts but appeared to turn the corner last time when ran well to finish fourth over 2m4f at Newcastle. Held every chance 2 out and may not have stayed so this trip will help with first-time blinkers now added.
Maiden at up to 1m6f on Flat for Archie Watson but has shown some promise in three starts so far over hurdles. Doesn't looks straight forward but better effort when third in mares novice event in January and tackles handicap company for first time.
Mixed messages with regard to trip having struggled over 3m1f latest but not looked speedy enough for this contest over the minimum trip. Coming down weights but still a maiden and would be a surprise if she breaks her duck here.
19-race maiden but hasn't run badly of late in similar company. Doesn't appear to have too much by way of gears and expected to be found wanting when pace lifts at business end of the contest.
Dual winner on Flat in her times but yet to catch the judge's eye in 14 attempts over hurdles. Ran well for a long way at Doncaster last time but that was on better ground and the testing conditions might well find her out on this occasion.
Forecasts
Timassini (3/1), Havacuppa (5/1), Missesgeejay (11/2), Whispering Waters (11/2), Infiniti (7/1), Be Thankful (7/1), Flight To Nowhere (10/1), Getawaytonewbay (12/1), Kalaya (25/1)
Nothing really jumps off the page here so a chance is taken on the first-time blinkered WHISPERING WATERS who left her previous form behind when an improved fourth at Newcastle ast time out. She should be suited by the drop in trip. The unexposed contender is top weight Be Thankful who could conceivably be better than these and is respected despite her welter burden. Timassini did it well when winning last week in similar conditions and should again give a good account of herself while Flight To Nowhere is open to improvement with her seasonal return under her belt.
