Last win came in this race two years ago off 2lb higher mark. Goes well in heavy ground but hasn't shown his best form for some time. Likely found 3m in Garde 2 company beyond him last time but needs to show more to score.
Took advantage of fallng mark when bolting in over C&D on New Year's Eve then followed up again in a driving finish over C&D last time off 5lb lower than today. In great heart but suspicion handicapper may now have his measure.
Good strike rate over both hurdles and fences. Won Listed handicap chase here in July 2018. Absent 15 months prior to recent return at Huntnigdon where ran as though outing would do him good. Still high enough in handicap though.
Won well in heavy ground 2m4f at Plumpton in November but soundly beaten at Newbury soon after. Beaten out of sight in hot handicap hurdle at Sandown last time when lost a shoe. First-time blinkers added so not out of it for top yard.
All three wins have come at around 2m and still has to prove he sees out this extra half-mile. Well beaten at Wetherby recently and despite yard having a great week at Cheltenham is hard to fancy on balance of form.
Promising hurdler in late-2018 winning twice and third in Grade 1. Struggled at hgh level after and didn't take to novice chasing this term. Returns to timber following wind surgery and with first-time tongue-tie. Fair chance if back on song.
In first three all three starts at this track and won over C&D penutimate start in January off 8b lower mark. Solid runner up back here last time when caught last stride and should again run his race and be thereabouts.
Stays up to 3m and goes well in heavy ground. Interesting dropping back down in trip after third at Doncaster latest and with cheekpieces now applied. Yard in decent form so enters calculations.
Stable companion of Remastered. On a five-timer having improved 28lb during stellar campaign and scored with plenty in hand over 2m off 9lb lower at Wetherby last time out. Extra half mile is a concern as recent wins have all come at around 2m.
Stable companion of Virgilio. Didn't seem to get home last time at Sandown in heavy ground over nearly 3m in hot race but won wll time before at around this trip at Wetherby. 8lb higher than that success but 7lb claiming conditional helps cause.
Unexposed sort who won maiden hurdle over 2m2f at Exeter in March then wasn't seen again until winning on handicap bow at Exeter on Boxing Day. 6lb higher and moving up in trip but suspicion there could be more to come off this mark.
Handled heavy ground winning over 2m on hurdles bow at Leicester in December and solid second at Wincanton following month. Not disgraced when sixth in Grade 2 hurdle at Kempton latest and worth noting for market supporting on handicap debut.
C&D winner off 117 in November and only just failed following week at Haydock. Bounced back to best winning bravely at Sedgefield last time and up further 4lb. Progressive and has good attitude.
Stable companion of Clyne. Dropped in class and bolted up at Chepstow last time but hit with 13lb rise for that 11-length success. This looks tougher but another solid run not ruled out.
Veteran in good form this term winning two of his last three starts, both at 2m. Up 6lb for latest Leicester success but longer trip in this ground may push his stamina to the limit.

No surprise that this is a hot race with £50,000 up for grabs. DOSTAL PHIL is very hard to assess having been sparingly campaigned but he could well be a step or two ahead of the handicapper and is fancied to run a very bg race. Kateson is fancied to return to form following wind surgery and is nicely handicapped on the pick of last season's form, while the juvenile Nordano is talented and should again figure having imrpessed when winning at Ascot last time out. Informateur is going the right way, while the in-form pair of Any Drama and Main Fact are others who enter calculations in a race where plenty have a chance on the pick of their form.

- Kateson
