Change of tactics worked the oracle last time at Wincanton (made all to win) having struggled to settle in earlier races; excellent chance now confidence is up and allowed to run at the head of affairs again.

Fair effort on hurdles debut and seasonal reappearance at Leicester in January and progressed plenty to land race at Huntingdon late last month; looks on the upgrade and should progress again.
Runner-up on all three starts in bumpers for Gordon Elliott, albeit beaten at short odds each time and made a winning start for new connections at Doncaster in January; mistakes cost him last time and headgear application might turn things around.

Cost €45,000 and is a brother to classy Cheltenham Festival winner A Plus Tard; has just made two racecourse appearance between April 20019 and now; might find things tough against some more experienced types on first race since November.

One of the most experienced runners in the field he's still to break his maiden over hurdles having had eight attempts; looking a bit exposed now but did put in one of his brighter performances last time out at Newbury; each way claims.
Only placed once in his ten starts and difficult to see where the improvement will come to play a serious role today.

Forecasts

Verdict

FIDELIO VALLIS benefited from being given a more positive ride last time out at Wincanton and chances are he will be allowed to dominate once again. If showing just a little bit of improvement he may prove to strong for his rivals. Global Society will be sporting headgear for the first time and connections will hope this will be the key to an improved performance. The gelding is well regarded and appears to have talent. Manvers House may be able to put his experience and consistency to good use. The seven-year-old ran his best race last time at Newbury and a repeat of that effort should see him go close.
  1. Fidelio Vallis
  2. Global Society
  3. Manvers House
