Struggling son of Aussie Rules not seen since finishing last but one in a 6K handicap over 1m in October. Unlikely to add to his two wins at this venue in this event.
Running with credit in a number of starts over C&D since October culminating in a victory when getting off the mark at the 10th time of asking for connections in a 14 runner maiden in December. Well held on handicap debut later the same month.
Off the mark for connections at the second time of asking when landing the spoils over C&D last month off a 4lb lower mark. Another bold show on the cards.
Winner on the Flat over 1m4f when in the hands of trainer Saeed Bin Suroor. Ran well on stable debut over C&D last month finishing within ½L of the winner in a 6K contest. Likely to run well once again.
Solid and consistent sort, winner of one of his three starts over C&D. 3¼L behind Jon Ess over the combination in January and has the form to make a bold bid in this contest.
Continues to run well in defeat in a number of starts since November. Without a win in eight over C&D but the gelding has hit the frame on four occasions and can give a good account on stable debut.
Seven-race maiden not seen since a poor run at this venue in September over 1m4f. Requires respect on return to action for respected connections.
Had Moving Forward ½L behind when winning for the third time in his career over C&D last month off a 3lb lower mark. Beaten but has run with credit since earlier this month and has to be considered in this event.
One from 14 in her career, yet to hit the frame in three starts on this surface. Hints of return to form over C&D last month running well in defeat.
Winner of two of his 12 starts over C&D with his latest win over the combination coming in December off a 3lb lower mark. Continues to hold his form well and not to be taken lightly in this race.
Forecasts
Golden Valour (11/4), Pak Army (7/2), Sheberghan (4/1), Moving Forward (9/2), Alhajjaj (15/2), Ragtime Red (12/1), Secret Wizard (16/1), Aussie Valentine (33/1), Frosty Beach (40/1), Timemakesitfine (66/1)
A chance is taken with C&D winner ALHAJJAJ to repeat his win over the combination last month. The Anthony McCann-trained gelding led all the way on his win in February and chances are he will get the same uncontested lead from stall 1 in this contest. Winner over C&D on his most recent start last month, Sheberghan can emerge as the biggest danger. The solid and consistent C&D winner Pak Army and the Madeline Tylicki-trained Moving Forward - second to Alhajjaj last month - can compete for remaining prize money.
- Alhajjaj
- Sheberghan
- Pak Army
