Aengust,v24
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-12| J: Theo Gillard(7)| T: J Candlish| OR:  97
Winner of three of his 30 races over hurdles, hitting the frame on a further nine occasions. Can give a good account without posing serious threat to principals.
2
Horse silk
Black Opium49
Age: 6|  Weight: 11-0| J: Ross Chapman| T: Miss T Jackson| OR:  85
Send off at big odds on all of her three starts over hurdles since her debut at Sedgefield in December before running accordingly on each occasion. Faces a tough ask in this company.
3
Horse silk
Red Star Dancer37
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-13| J: Sean Quinlan| T: D Thompson| OR:  84
Yet to hit the frame in five career starts over hurdles so far. Pulled up on latest run at Sedgefield last month. Needs to show more sparkle before any faith is placed in him.
4
Horse silk
Duty Girlp21
Age: 7|  Weight: 10-12| J: Henry Brooke| T: Julia Brooke| OR:  83| BF
15-race maiden over hurdles the daughter of Vinnie Row posted a best effort for sometime when finishing second of 11 beaten 1½L in a Sedgefield handicap over 3m3f on heavy ground last month. Needs to back that run up here.
5
Horse silk
Espoir Moriviere21
Age: 6|  Weight: 10-3| J: Craig Nichol| T: R Dobbin| OR:  74
12-race maiden but goes well at this track with a record of three place efforts from seven starts here including two over C&D from four races over the combination. Should give a good account once again.
6
Horse silk
Dorothy's Flamev19
Age: 8|  Weight: 10-1| J: Danny McMenamin(3)| T: J C Haynes| OR:  72
11-race maiden with no worthwhile form on her CV. Beaten 65L on latest start at Newcastle earlier this month and not one to place a great deal of faith in. First time visor unlikely to bring about the required amount of improvement needed.

Forecasts

Duty Girl (1/1), Espoir Moriviere (5/2), Aengus (4/1), Black Opium (12/1), Red Star Dancer (33/1), Dorothy's Flame (33/1)

Verdict

ESPOIR MORIVIERE for trainer Rose Dobbin can build on a solid run at Sedgefield last month to get off the mark for connections at the 13th time of asking. The six-year-old has hit the frame over C&D on two occasions from four starts over the combination and can improve to hold off Duty Girl who looks booked to be the gelding biggest danger. The 10-year-old Aengus is better than his last run at Carlisle suggests and can compete for minor honours with the first-time visored, Dorothy's Flame.
  1. Espoir Moriviere
  2. Duty Girl
  3. Aengus
