C&D winner in January of last year and posted another good effort here when third last time in testing ground off 1lb higher mark. Every chance she'll be on the premises once again.
In great form last year competing four-timer at up to 2m4f at Fakenham in October. Not disgraced in three starts since including jumpers bumper at Newcastle last month. Still 6lb above last winning mark though.
Won first two starts over hurdles, both at Cartmel, but hasn't shown same level of form since in two outings in December at Wetherby and Doncaster. Has plenty to prove on back of those poor efforts.
Nine-race maiden but has placed four times including on seasonal return on good to soft ground at Worcester in October. Weakened 2 out at Cheltenham following month on testing ground and appears to have been saved for better surface.
Handled heavy ground well when scoring at Southwell 2m4f penultimate start but two errors in home straight here in January took their toll and finished down the field. Won good ground bumper early on so surface not an issue if polishing up jumping.
Won 2m4f hurdle at Sedgefield in 2018 but has been chasing last 15 months winning at Musselburgh in January 2019. Pulled up at Sedgefield on Boxing Day and not seen since so has questions to answer returning to timber.
Dual bumper winner who seemed to be getting the hang of things ons econd start over timber when staying on nicely into fourth at Fakenham in December. Shaped well when third at Ludlow previous start on hurdles bow. Interesting on handicap debut.
In good form winning 2m h'cap hurdles at Uttoxeter in December and here in Feburary. Raised further 8lb and steps up in trip but came hime strongly last time and every chance he will stay the extra three furlongs.
Lightly raced French 1m6f Flat winner who improved on debut fourth for current yard at Ludlow in November by finishing third at Exeter in heavy ground following month. Retuns from 12-week break and respected on handicap bow for top yard.
Showed little form last spring pulling up twice then finishing sixth at Huntingdon in May. Eased 2lb and has quite a bit to prove but yard among the winners and recent wind operation could have made a difference.
Won twice from three starts over nearly three miles in spring 2018 but absent a long time prior to reappearing here over 3m in January where pulled up after tailing off before 4 out. Eased just 2lb and hard to know if he still retains ability.
Poor form first four starts in bumpers and over hurdles but a little better last time when remote 6th in Huntingdon 2m novice hurdle. First outing in a handicap but has it all to do on recent evidence.
Forecasts
Feuille De Chene (9/4), Storm Goddess (7/2), Out On The Tear (9/2), Stacey Sue (6/1), Colditz Castle (9/1), Schiaparannie (12/1), Dash Of Blue (25/1), Doctor Haze (28/1), Trapper Peak (33/1), Henry's Joy (40/1), Clemento (66/1), Kiwayu (66/1)
FEUILLE DE CHENE is interesting on handicap debut for her powerful yard and has shown enough to suggest she has a sound chance in this event. Colditz Castle seems to have been saved for the better ground and could prove dangerous, and top weight Storm Goddess seems to like it here and looks set for another bold show. Out On the Tear bids for his third win from his last four starts but do well to defy another 8lb rise, while veteran Trapper Peak and Schiaparannie who has a chance if getting her jumping together are others with claims if things go their way.
- Feuille De Chene
- Colditz Castle
- Schiaparannie
