Stepping up to this trip for the first time over fences after runnng well when placed last two starts over 2m4f on testing ground. 33/1 second on decent surface over hurdles so no surprise to see him go well if he stays.

Won five times last term - four over fences - but after solid second on seasonal reappearance in November has been disappointing. Well beaten over C&D last time but finished lame. First-time cheekpieces may help and a better dispaly not ruled out.

Only win came over hurdles in 2016 and has pulled up last four starts, the two most recent for current yard. Returns following wind surgery and dropped further 6lb but is very hard to enthuse over.

Ex-Irish mare who landed Wetherby 3m hcap hurdle last April. May have needed run on chasing bow at Fakenham in January when weakening to finish last of four and better effort not out of question. Jockey booking positive sign.

Won over hurdles for Harry Fry in 2016 and on Flat for current yard in 2018. Fair third penultimate start at Catterick in 3m1f h'cap chase but not so good back there last time. Reportedly lost a shoe that day and remains on same mark.

Ran on dourly to land Musselburgh 3m h'cap chase back in December 2018 off 3lb higher mark but has shown little in four starts since then and was beaten a long way out at Musselburgh last time. Much more needed.

Having first start under Rules for almost a year and has refused and run out in two recent outings between the flags. Nearly four years since only chase success over 3m at Warwick in spring 2016.

Maiden who placed three times over hurdles last spring but didn't appear to show much confidence on chasing bow at Taunton in December when always struggling and well beaten. Not seen since and needs to show marked improvement to figure.

Stayed on well to win Huntingdon 2m4f h'cap hurdle in October but ran very poorly on chase debut at Market Rasen in January where tailed off from 4 out and eventually pulled up.

Only win in 38 attempts came in Irish handicap hurdle way back in 2015. Joined current yard in September but has struggled and been pulled up twice since undergoing a wind operation. Very hard to fancy. 2lb out of the handicap.

Lord Brendy (3/1), Summit Like Herbie (10/3), Coopers Square (4/1), Hahadi (11/2), Uisce Ur (8/1), Queens Present (8/1), Brotherly Company (10/1), Misdflight (14/1), Attention Please (16/1), Bentons Lad (16/1), Maybe Plenty (20/1)

Verdict

The majority of the field are struggling for form at present but top weight SUMMIT LIKE HERBIE has shaped creditably on his last two starts and may have been found a winning opportunity. The first-time cheekpieces could potentially spark a revival in Coopers Square who can be excused a poor effort last time as he reportedly finished lame, while the jockey booking catches the eye for Uisce Ur who might well be better for a pipe-opener on chasing bow at Fakenham last time. Brotherly Company looks best of the remainder.
  1. Summit Like Herbie
  2. Uisce Ur
  3. Coopers Square
