The gelding was beaten 1¾ in a seven runner bunch finish coming in fifth of 14 and can hold off the attentions of his nearest pursuers in the shape of the Ginger Fox for trainer David Loughnane, a winner last month over C&D off a 2lb lower mark and the Robert Cowell-trained Reeves who landed a four-timer between October and January including a win over C&D.
