Failed to live up to market expectations on her two starts prior to winning at Fontwell last time returning a career-best performance. Helped by a sliding mark she now returns to a mark she's been beaten off before; up in trip for follow-up bid.

Caught the eye on her final qualifying run at Exeter over a shorter showing promise for the future although that wasn't forthcoming on her handicap debut. Did run in a better race than she needed to though; cheekpieces now on, down in grade.

Still searching for a win to pop on her career-record falling early on last time at Sedgefield in first-time blinkers. Not long with this yard but has yet to really find her form; mark looks handy enough if she does spring to life.

Much improved sort over fences especially since blinkers were fitted (1112) finishing a creditable second last time although the handicapper may have caught up with him. Off the same mark here back to hurdles; respected in first-time visor.

Age: 7|  Weight: 10-9| J: Alexander Thorne| T: J D Frost| OR:  82
40/1
Poor form over hurdles overall with a switch to handicaps inducing very little progress although she was handed a stiff mark initially. Continues to show little and hopes pinned on a stiffer test off a much-reduced mark.

Flow With Evep48
Age: 11|  Weight: 10-5| J: C J Todd| T: K Bishop| OR:  78
14/1
Long-standing maiden over hurdles (0-20) who appeared to run her best race for some time in an Exeter heavy ground 2m7f novice last time. Well beaten in this sphere of late that form has a tepid feel to it and she remains opposable.

Way Of The Worldb,t119
Age: 9|  Weight: 10-1| J: Jack Tudor| T: Sheila Lewis| OR:  74

Long time between drinks for this one having gained his only success back in 2017. Failed to complete on his last two starts over obstacles looking as though testing trips like this really found him out; tongue-tie added now.

Cornelius Socksv48
Age: 10|  Weight: 10-0| J: Charlie Price| T: Miss J Du Plessis| OR:  71
4/1
Not really suited by the drop in trip for his latest outing although it's hard to say the run had much in the way of encouragement for the future. Steps back up significantly in trip from 2lb out of the weights; hard to be confident.

Forecasts

Ballybreen (5/4), Fu Fu (7/2), Cornelius Socks (4/1), Costante Via (10/1), Dorrana (14/1), Flow With Eve (14/1), Way Of The World (16/1), False Getaway (40/1)

Verdict

The two last timeout winners look to stand out in this field with Fu Fu showing a good attitude to win at Fontwell last time and whilst this test should suit she had proved vulnerable off this mark before. Ballybreen reverts to hurdles having been foiled by a 15yo last time on his bid for a four-timer at Exeter he ought to go well although connections look to pep him up again with a first-time visor. Costante Via ought to take a hand if she remains up right but the one of most interest is DORRANA in first-time cheekpieces. Highly tried on her handicap debut this is a far easier test for her to show that the Exeter fifth behind some decent types in December is worthy of merit in a weak heat.
  1. Dorrana
  2. Fu Fu
  3. Ballybreen
