Deservedly off the mark over the larger obstacles when landing a Leicester hunter chase on heavy ground last month at the 10th attempt over fences. Another bold show likely.

Veteran. Eight-race maiden under national hunt rules, pulled up on sole hunter chase start at this venue in May. Not one to place a great deal of faith in.

Chase Me51
Age: 9|  Weight: 12-0| J: Mr Zac Baker| T: J Ridley| OR:  85
11/2
Landed three minor point-to-point races before having his limitations exposed at Warwick and this track in May last term. Winner of a January point-to-point but still has plenty to prove back in this company.
Second of 13 in the Grade 3 Imperial Cup handicap hurdle at Sandown three years. Little hint of any ability over fences in a number of starts for previous and current connections. Best watched on hunter chase debut.

Very little solid form to speak of in moderate point-to-point starts, pulled up twice at big prices in December. A hint of ability in a restricted point-to-point last month but still appears to have a mountain to climb here in first-time cheekpieces

Dual hurdles winner for Nigel Twiston-Davies but didn't show much in five start over fences. Well held on first start for new connections at Fontwell last month and more of the same expected in this contest.

Pulled up when tailed off in a couple of point-to-point starts this time last year. Failed to finish once again on return to action in a similar contest last month. Not in the required form to be recommended.
Off the mark at third attempt in point-to-points before making his bumper debut for his former yard at this venue in May. First run following a wind-op but looks a tough ask on chasing debut.

Running well in defeat in two of his last three starts, all coming last month. Major player in this company with first-time cheekpieces to assist.

Not disgraced in a number of point-to-point starts in the last 12 months, getting his head in front on a couple of occasions. Needs a a few of today's rivals to falter.

Age: 10|  Weight: 12-0| J: Mr D Edwards| T: D Summersby| OR:  103

Failed to win in 16 starts for trainer Gordon Elliott. Winner on five occasions in the last 12 months in a number of point-to-point starts latest of which came in June. Could be staying on at the end.

Forecasts

Risk And Roll (6/4), O Ceallaigh (7/2), Chase Me (11/2), Fixe Le Kap (8/1), Soul Kaliber (11/1), Neil The Legend (14/1), Kerisper (25/1), Howld Your Whist (33/1), Robin Why Not (50/1), Mayohill (80/1), Beau De Tabel (150/1)

Verdict

A winner at Leicester a month ago RISK AND ROLL can continue his good form in this weak looking contest. The six-year-old got off the mark over the larger obstacles when landing a hunter chase on heavy ground last month at the 10th time of asking for connections and can go well again at the expense of the Mahler gelding Chase Me who has won his last four starts in point-to-point company. O'Ceallaigh in first-time cheekpieces and former useful hurdler Fixe Le Kap are deserving of more consideration as post time approaches.
