Horse A-Z
Daughter of Jeremy out of a Alderbrook mare. Winner on debut at Fairyhouse in December before a disappointing effort when no match for most of her rivals in a Grade 2 contest at Leopardstown last month. Better expected here.

11/8
Daughter of Califet. Landed a 66/1 shock on debut in a Down Royal 2m soft ground bumper in January, winning by 6L. Entitled to have designs on prize money once again in this company.
Ran with plenty of credit in a number of starts in similar company in the run up to Christmas but the daughter of Mahler has recently been seen to struggle in a couple of contests last month. Others make more appeal.

50/1
Daughter of Doyen out of a Montelimar mare. Ridden and no extra before two out on debut in a Fairyhouse maiden hurdle on soft ground over 2m2½f when last seen in January. Tough call on bumper debut.
5
Horse silk
6/1
Daughter of Scorpion out of a Presenting mare. Pleasing third of seven running The West Awaits to 2¾L in a Clonmel 2m bumper on heavy ground last month. Enters calculations.
Daughter of Flemensfirth out of a Fraam mare. Cost €45,000 as a three-year-old. Closely related to Robbie Rabbit, winner over hurdles at 3m. Market likely to reveal connections expectations on debut.
7
Horse silk
20/1
Ocovango filly out of a Hurricane Run mare. Closely related to Won In The Dark, Grade 1 winner over hurdles at 2m. Looks a long term prospect.

Forecasts

Castra Vetera (11/8), Lady Heath (11/8), Phillapa Sue (6/1), Royal Kahala (14/1), Fairyhill Run (16/1), Walk Alone (20/1), Kopon (50/1)

Verdict

The Joseph O'Brien-trained CASTRA VETERA looks a little way ahead of her rivals. The daughter of Jeremy won on debut at Fairyhouse in December before a gallant effort in a Grade 2 contest at Leopardstown last month. The Gigginstown House Stud-owned mare can get back to winning ways here with the Lorna Fowler-trained Lady Heath emerging as the biggest danger following a pleasing debut at Down Royal in January. Fairyhill Run and Phillapa Sue look likely to give a good account without posing serious threat to principals.
