Placed in three point-to-point races including over 3m at Larkhill (good) in January. Joined a useful stable and is worth a check in the market on debut under Rules.

Disappointing odds-on favourite when finishing 6½L last of three in a bumper over an extended 1m7f at Haydock (soft) just under a year ago. Interesting to see how he fares stepping up markedly in trip on hurdling debut.
Well beaten 49L seventh in a 2m5f novice event on hurdling debut at Warwick (good-to-soft) last month. Others hold more obvious claims stepping up in distance.

Bumper winner and placed on all four starts over hurdles so far including when 2½L second off a mark of 120 in a 3m1f handicap at Plumpton (heavy) in January. Strong claims with blinkers tried for the first time.

11/8
Shown good placed form over hurdles including when 4½L second in a 3m2f handicap event at Warwick (good-to-soft) last month. Currently rated 123 in this sphere and is a leading contender with a visor replacing the cheekpieces worn last time.

Forecasts

Some Detail (11/8), Hideaway Vic (7/4), Farrants Way (11/2), Flemings (12/1), Butter Hill Boris (12/1)

Verdict

Some Detail and HIDEAWAY VIC have both shown good form in handicap company of late and they are taken to fight out the finish of this staying maiden hurdle event. Preference is for the latter who represents a stable with a 21% strike-rate (3/14) in the last two weeks and he can get the better of his main rival here with Farrants Way, a disappointment on his final start in bumpers capable of finishing third on his first outing over hurdles.
  1. Hideaway Vic
  2. Some Detail
  3. Farrants Way
