Has confidently won his last four starts in point-to-point contests between March 2019 and February this year with his only blip being a fall on debut; excellent chance if progressing again.
Was below his best in 2019 being unsuccessful in five starts last seen struggling at Punchestown in November; has reasonable form in the past and definite chance if able to rekindle past efforts buoyed by fair recent point-to-point efforts.
Has an undistinguished form profile under Rules but this lightly-raced gelding will have been encouraged by a recent win in a point-to-point; remains open to improvement and one to consider.
Comfortably won this contest last year (and the year before) on soft ground; has been busy and consistent in point-to-points over the winter; excellent chance if taking to first-time blinkers and tongue-tie.
Fourth in this contest last year behind Fenno's Storm; generally consistent, he won last time out in a similar contest at Thurles when grinding down his rivals; fair chance but may need a few to falter.
Has scored once in three starts under Rules when winning a maiden hunters chase at Cork (3m); has been busy on the pointing circuit and if able to bring that consistency to this contest he has a reasonable chance in first time cheekpieces.
Shock 80/1 winner of a beginners chase contest at Fairyhouse last April; failed to progress but found new lease of life when winning a point-to-point recently; hard to assess but should be full of confidence. in first time cheekpieces.
Landed a double on the point-to-point circuit before winning a 14 runner Clonmel hunter chase over 2m4f in January; below par last time but fair chance with better luck in running.
Has been running with credit in a number of point-to-point starts since November; is capable of winning races and not disgraced last time out at Thurles behind Macs Legend.
Forecasts
Aloneamongmillions (10/3), Fenno's Storm (10/3), Macs Legend (11/2), Wounded Warrior (13/2), Some Man (7/1), Screaming Colours (7/1), Oscar Contender (9/1), Call It Magic (16/1), Danjaman (33/1)
If FENNO'S STORM faces up to first-time blinkers and tongue-tie then he has a reasonable chance of recording a hat-trick in this contest following successes in 2018 and 2019. The nine-year-old has warmed up for this contest (as he did last year) with a few spins in point-to-point events and is very happy on a testing surface. Aloneamongmillions has been showing very progressive form in point-to-points recently and if able to carry on that form then he has an excellent chance here. The relatively lightly-raced Danjaman is an interesting contender who, although has not shown great form under Rules, has solid form in point contests and is one to consider.
- Fenno's Storm
- Aloneamongmillions
- Danjaman
