Winner at Fontwell in December and has remained in good form since then, almost winning at this trip at Newbury the time after and second to the useful Whitehotchillifili last time. Penalty to carry but every chance today.

Little to shout about in three starts to date, tailed off over C&D last time out and hard to see why she should do any better here.

Bounced back from a poor run at Hexham to run the useful Miss Honey Ryder to 1½l at Huntingdon last time, showing this trip holds no fears; improving with each start and gets a useful 7lb from Martha Brae here.
Looked sure to win a race based on her second to Normandy Soldier at Hereford in December but pulled up at Huntingdon last time (Legends Ryde second), looking like something was amiss; needs to bounce back.

Consistent in her last five starts but you'd be hard pushed to say she's improving; trip and ground both fine but overall form leaves her a little short of what's required, so now needs to progress again.

Forecasts

Legends Ryde (11/8), Martha Brae (9/4), Precious Eleanor (9/4), Miss Jeanne Moon (25/1), Apple Bank (100/1)

Verdict

Martha Brae has the best form on show but she does have a penalty to carry and the cheekpieces being applied today isn't necessarily a positive either. The yard are a little quiet at present too, and maybe in receipt of 7lb LEGENDS RYDE can pick her off late. She'll need to settle a little better than she has been doing but if doing so, might be the one to be with. Precious Eleanor looks best of the rest, but a better showing from Miss Jeanne Moon wouldn't be the biggest surprise.
  1. Legends Ryde
  2. Martha Brae
  3. Precious Eleanor
