Was rated 102 at his best (during his time with Godolphin) but has been around a number of yards since then and his sights are considerably lower these days. He's effective in sellers and claimers but this looks a stiff ask on these terms.
Both previous career wins have been gained over C&D and the drop to this grade could well initiate the hat-trick. The gelding gets on well with today's rider and has a lot going for him in a very weak race.
Fibresand debutante that is yet to win over this trip and also failed to impress in either previous start for his current yard since returning from a break. Respected on the pick of his turf form but he's 0-7 on the AW and needs a big step forward.
Effective at this course and worth another try over this sort of trip. Was well backed over 1m6f here last month but had no extra when headed near the finish. This ease in grade and lesser test could add up in his favour. One to bear in mind.
Never a factor in a Class 5 handicap at Kempton last month and was also well beaten when tried at Wolverhampton in her penultimate start (finished 8½l behind Tigray that day). Should be fitter but another who lacks Fibresand experience.
Hard to fancy on the evidence of two poor efforts so far; finished tailed off both times and has very little to recommend her from a punting perspective.

TIGRAY likes this course and is the percentage call in a weak seller that won't live long in the memory. The selection is already a dual C&D winner and can confirm his superiority over Vampish, who should be fitter after last month's reappearance but was notably no match for Tigray when they met at Wolverhampton last October. More of a threat is likely to be posed by Pumblechook, who was well backed when he was tried over 1m6f here latest. The ease in grade and slightly less demanding trip could bring some improvement. First Flight is a shade of better days but is with a trainer who knows how to strike at this level. He too makes the shortlist.
- Tigray
- Pumblechook
- Vampish
