Ran just once for Sir Michael Stoute, when 3-1 but never a factor at Kempton (1m, AW) last August. Changed hands for £10,000 in January and now makes debut for this trainer. Market can guide.

€80,000 yearling. Half-brother to three winners, the best being Duke Of Dundee (1m2f-2m). Dam maiden half-sister to 1m4f Group 3 winner Maroussie's Wings. Stable 12% with AW 4yos and upwards over five seasons. Market check.

Showed some promise in his debut bumper here (good) in November 2018. Well held in three hurdles since then. Dam a French winner over 1m4¾f. Can only watch unless market vibes strong.

Second foal. Dam five-time 1m4f AW winner, sister to 1m Flat/2m hurdle winner Stravara. Trainer 12% with 4yos and upwards on AW over past five seasons. May need this debut outing.

100-1 and struggled after racing prominently early on her debut here over 1m recently. Eventually beaten 12L there, so has lots of improving to do.

Ran once in 2017 for Mick Appleby (well beaten) and has been a long way behind in all four starts over hurdles or in a jumpers' bumper since joining this trainer. Others readily preferred on her Flat debut.

Ran well to finish second in successive mares' bumpers at Wetherby and then here (AW) in December/January. Well beaten at 40-1 in both starts in this code since then, so plenty to prove at the moment.

22,000gns yearling, resold for 35,000gns also as a yearling. Brother to 7f 2yo/1m1f winner Mohab. Trainer 13% with AW 3yos over past five seasons, and can have debut winners. Visored first-time. Marhet check advised.

40-1 and couldn't make any impression when push came to shove on debut here over 1m recently. Should come on for that, and also for this step up in trip, and wouldn't rule him out of the money.

€27,000 foal. Half-brother to 6f-1m winner Optimum Time (including AW), out of a French 1m1f winner. Stable usually 8% with AW 3yos is 13% this season, so this gelding looks well worth monitoring for market confidence.

Out of a 6f-1m2f winning half-sister to 1m2½f AW Flat winner Archer's Up. Represents top team that has debut winners and is 16% this season with AW 3yos (compared to 14% over five years). Could make a competitive debut.

16-1 and never able to get in a blow when 13L sixth of seven on her recent debut at Southwell (7f). Stable among the winners at the moment, but this filly needs plenty of improvement for that first run, and she has to prove she gets this trip.

16-1 and couldn't go with them when the pace quickened on her debut here over 1m recently. There was still some promise there, however, and we should see more from her now upped in trip.

Forecasts

Lexington Force (4/11), Dande (7/1), Theoule (9/1), Ghadbbaan (11/1), A Knight's Tale (12/1), Netiquette (16/1), The Mackem Missile (22/1), My Macho Man (25/1), Wilhelm Vonvenster (40/1), Psychic Power (50/1), Red Dragoness (50/1), Heresy (80/1), Oliver's Betty (100/1), Misstify (125/1)

Verdict

A very tricky race in which there is a distinct lack of experience for punters to draw upon. The obvious candidate for the win has to to LEXINGTON FORCE, after a super debut effort and he can probably defy a penalty. However, there are plenty of unknowns, with the Brian Ellison-trained pair Ghadbbaan and The Mackem Missile both probable improvers, along with Dande for Phil Kirby. There are also debuts for runners such as Netiquette, My Macho Man, Theoule and A Knight's Tale, all from good stables. The market should therefore prove informative.
  1. Lexington Force
  2. Netiquette
  3. Theoule
