Still a maiden after 12 starts but ran well over C&D last time when failing by only a neck off a 3lb lower mark. Handled soft ground well that day but is untried on the forecast heavy ground. In good heart at present though.

Hacked up penultimate start at Bangor 2m1f in heavy ground and was held in second place when fell last here five weeks ago. Now 12lb higher than recent win so more needed stepping up in trip.

Won soft ground Haydock novice hurdle in March 2018 and was decent fourth time after. Absent 15 months prior to fair 7th of 15 at Bangor earlier this month and should strip fitter. In-form yard has fine 38% strike rate here in hurdles.

Seven-time dual purpose winner but yet to convince she'll stay this trip in heavy ground. Weakened quickly 2 out at Sedgefield 2m4f latest and more needed despite 4lb drop in weights.

Only three runs in the last three years and clearly had issues. Still a maiden but stays and handles soft ground. Will be better for last month's reappearance at Uttoxeter when got tired closing stages. Well handicapped on pick of form.

Off the mark at the 22nd time of asking at Sedgefield 2m4f latest where made all to score. Hit with 8lb rise for length-and-a-half success so this is tougher, but at least comes here in good form.

Yet to reach a place in four starts over timber and looks modest on evidence thus far. Well beaten at Doncaster latest on handicap bow and steps up in trip on far more testing ground. Eased 5lb. First-time cheekpieces applied.

Second three times in a row this autumn including on heavy ground, but a well beaten favoruite at Uttoxeter on latest start in December. Returns from break off 1lb lower mark and not out of it if back to form of earlier in the campaign.

Landed fast ground Newton Abbot bumper on racecourse bow in August 2018 for Olly Murphy. Mainly struggled since, including latest two starts for current yard. Dropped 6lb since latest poor effort and much more needed to figure here.

Forecasts

Talkingpicturestv (4/1), Kapga De Lily (4/1), Sincerely Resdev (5/1), Catchmeifyoucan (11/2), Lastofthecosmics (7/1), City Never Sleeps (8/1), Miss Amelia (10/1), Canny Style (18/1), Fasterkhani (22/1), Dorette (40/1)

Verdict

Connections have been patient with KAPGA DE LILY who handles soft ground and ran with some promise last time on her first outing following a long absnce. Her yard does very well here and this looks a fair opportunity. Similarly unexposed is the very lightly raced City Never Sleeps who has definite claims on the pick of his form, whle top weights Lastofthecosmics and Catchmeifyoucan have both been in decent form and should be thereabouts. Recent Sedgefield scorer Sincerely Resdev has a much tougher task but at least comes here on top of his game.
  1. Kapga De Lily
  2. City Never Sleeps
  3. Catchmeifyoucan
