4/5

Built on a couple of promising placed efforts over 2m at Kempton when winning by 1L in a C&D handicap here last week. Carries a 5lb penalty for that victory and looks likely to prove hard to beat in this contest.

4/1

Making his first start at this track when finishing 2L third in a 1m4f handicap recently. Shapes as if this step back up in distance will suit and he is one to note on this occasion.

Age: 4| Weight: 9-6| J: Cam Hardie| T: R Menzies| OR: 62

Returning from wind surgery when winning by 1L in a jumpers' bumper over an extended 2m at Newcastle last week. Worth a check in the market on his first start at this venue.

Never A Word^b,t²²

Age: 6| Weight: 9-3| J: Daniel Muscutt| T: Alexandra Dunn| OR: 56| CD

20/1

Well held in two starts since finishing third over an extended 2m here last month. Most recent effort came on soft ground over hurdles and is probably best watched on his Flat return despite winning over this C&D in the past.

Form: 54-1739

Scrafton²⁸

Age: 9| Weight: 9-2| J: Elisha Whittington⁽⁷⁾| T: A W Carroll| OR: 55| CD

8/1

C&D winner finished a well held 22L sixth in a selling handicap over an extended 2m here in December and it was a similar story dropping markedly in distance at Wolverhampton just under a month ago. Others hold more obvious claims.

Forecasts

Accessor (4/5), Cool Possibility (7/2), Adams Park (4/1), Scrafton (8/1), Never A Word (20/1)

Top weight ACCESSOR showed he is in good heart a tpresent when winning here last week and he is taken to follow up that victory by seeing off his four rivals in this staying handicap. Adams Park should appreciate the step back up in distance here and he can take second ahead of Cool Possibility who returns to the Flat following a victory in a jumpers' bumper last week.
