Winner of a bumper over an extended 2m at Fakenham (good) in October and finished a decent 11L fourth at Ludlow (1m6f, soft) subsequently. Interesting runner on AW debut.
Showed ability in point-to-point races and placed in a point-to-point bumper at Stratford (good) in May last year. Fair form in two starts for this yard but likely more needed in this contest.
Finished fourth in bumpers on his two most recent starts and has had wind surgery since being beaten 33L over 2m1f on soft going at Sedgefield last month. Top jockey booked to ride.
Sent off favourite when finishing fourth in a heavy ground 2m bumper at Warwick on debut in December. Likely to have improved for the experience and is a notable runner once more.
Unraced Sans Frontieres gelding sold for £23,000 at the sales in May 2017. Half-brother to winner Largy Prospect and market support would be notable on debut.
Finished a promising third in a bumper over an extended 1m5f on Rules debut at Huntingdon (good-to-soft) in November. Interesting to see how he fares switched to the AW.
Unraced gelded son of Califet out of an unraced half-sister to high class hurdle winner Iktitaf. Worth a check in the market on his first racecourse appearance.
Performed well when finishing runner-up in an AW bumper over 2m when making his debut at Lingfield last month. Leading contender for a yard with a 38% strike-rate (10/26) in the last two weeks.
Plenty to like about his second in a bumper over an extended 2m on the AW track at Newcastle when making his debut last month. Likely to have improved for the run and is of interest in this event.
Unraced gelded son of Galileo and a half-brother to a number of useful Flat performers including five time scorer Future Generation. Wears a hood on racecourse debut.
Fair 15L ninth in a bumper over an extended 2m when making his debut at Newcastle last month. Work to do if he's to reverse form with Li'l Sebastian from their running that day.
Placed third in a bumper at Hereford (2m, soft) in December but struggled at Warwick (2m, good-to-soft) earlier this month on his first start since wind surgery. Hood tried for the first time.
Unraced Ocovango gelding and a half-brother to dual Flat winner Kaaba Stone. Dam ran once over 1m on the Flat and she is probably best watched on debut.
Forecasts
Surf Walk (13/8), Merry Yarn (4/1), Litigate (6/1), Fox's Socks (10/1), Li'l Sebastian (14/1), Onemorefortheroad (16/1), Daranova (16/1), Ferry All (25/1), Stokes (28/1), Freddie Corbitt (28/1), The Furrows End (80/1), Annie Moore (100/1), Orbit Of Iolite (300/1)
SURF WALK hails from a top yard and he can go one better than when finishing runner-up on his debut in an AW bumper at Lingfield last time out. Nicky Henderson's charge looks capable of getting the better of Li'l Sebastian who also finished runner-up on his only previous outing while third place can go to Litigate who followed up a debut victory with a decent fourth last time.
- Surf Walk
- Li'l Sebastian
- Litigate
