Justified favouritism to win a point-to-point comfortably at Belclare before being mightily impressive winning his only bumper start at Down Royal in December; should improve again and the one they all need to beat.
Westerner gelding out of a Dr Massini mare; cost €72,000 as a three-year-old; won in good style at Limerick in December on only racecourse appearance and likely to improve again; sound chance.

Half-brother to a bumper winner, who scored over both hurdles and fences; plenty to like about the way he landed a bumper at Fairyhouse on only racecourse appearance and should improve again; one to consider.

Nicely-bred gelding who comfortably won on debut at Limerick at the end of January; no reason why he can't progress and give a good account of himself.
Five-race maiden who has put up some fair performances in defeat (has been runner-up on three occasions); little bit exposed here against four unbeaten rivals.

Forecasts

Farouk D'Alene (7/4), Stattler (15/8), Fire Attack (9/4), Vinnie Is Busy (10/1), Fairyhill Run (33/1)

Verdict

FAROUK D'ALENE was very impressive on his debut under rules at Down Royal in December and if able to produce another similar performance he may take all the beating in a fascinating contest. Besides his bumper win he also has a point-to-point success under his belt and that extra experience could give him the edge against some of his similarly unbeaten rivals. Stattler is obviously respected given his connections and he did little wrong when winning at Fairyhouse in January. Another interesting rival is Fire Attack who put in a useful performance to win at Limerick in December.
  1. Farouk D'Alene
  2. Fire Attack
  3. Stattler
