Six-time course winner (four over C&D) twice gone close here since winning over the course in January. Handicapper has a tight grip but will still go well.
C&D winner in January but struggled since with revised mark in two lesser efforts and 1lb back here may not be enough help from the handicapper.
Landed a C&D hat-trick coming into this and will shoulder a 5lb penalty. Not entirely certain he can follow up under it given he only won by ½L latest but in current form simply has to be highly respected.
Handicap debutant won 5f novices at Chelmsford and Lingfield with the latest impressive despite a penalty. Hard to know how this opening mark will suit but few rivals have potential to be well treated so if he is he will be hard to beat.

With the majority of his rivals looking to be handicapped to the hilt a chance is taken on handicap debutant NIGEL NOTT who in winning two of his three qualifiers has shown more than enough. Having won his last three here Sandridge Lad has to be respected despite the penalty. Zylan loves it here and looks sure to go well despite his restrictive mark.
