9/1
Lightly-raced sort for one of his age especially from this yard; shaped as though he would be better for the run on Polytrack last time. First run on this surface (pedigree suggests he should act here); best form at 1m, edging down the handicap.

5/1
C&D winner who is now tongue-tied for the first-time; his win coming in novice company (failed to go on from a promising start when trained by Dermot Weld). Failed to repeat his win here last time on handicap debut (got into a pace battle).

Sold to this yard after winning a 1m2f Redcar seller; came out on top for the first time in handicaps over C&D last time. Appeared to appreciate this surface and a 4lb rise isn't harsh; should go well although this is a slight nudge up in grade.

Winner on her initial try on this surface showing improved form with the headgear previously worn now removed. Last of 5 over C&D last time having still looked well treated; needs to bounce back with a visor applied for the first-time.

20/1
Prolific course winner although none of his seven wins here have come over this trip (best at 7f). Took advantage of a much-reduced mark to record his latest win; well treated on his old form still but the trip leaves a question mark.

Twice second here from three starts she comes here on a long losing run but nearly ended that sequence on her penultimate run. Narrowly touched off over C&D on that occasion (did finish weakly); chance if her last run is ignored.

Second over C&D last time chasing home Lightning Attack looking suited by the ease in grade. That run came off her last winning mark (2lb higher today); ought to go close to reversing that form; one for the shortlist.

25/1
Seven-time course winner (five over at this trip); first run for this yard having departed from David Evans. In good form either side of the New Year completing a hat-trick with two C&D victories in lower grade; ran poorly last time, mark looks high.

Love Your Work2(ex 5)
Age: 4|  Weight: 9-4| J: D C Costello| T: T J FitzGerald| OR:  67| CD
6/4
Returned to form on his first run for a new yard with a third course win coming his way (strong in the market) over 7f. Won in ready fashion, already a dual C&D winner at this trip it will hold no fears despite the 5lb penalty.

Forecasts

Love Your Work (6/4), Tranchee (5/1), Lightning Attack (5/1), Oud Metha Bridge (6/1), Little India (8/1), Royal Big Night (9/1), Elixsoft (12/1), Custard The Dragon (20/1), Bond Angel (25/1)

Verdict

Another handicap where there is a plethora of Fibresand form and two last time out winners bidding to follow up. Love Your Work is the first of those returning winners and he should go well again with this trip no problem although the quick turnaround does always leave a doubt. Lightning Attack made a winning debut here last month looking to really enjoy the surface and he’s entitled to go well again although his trainer has a poor record with last time out winners. Second that day was OUD METHA BRIDGE and he could well gain his revenge and a well deserved victory on the revised terms. Little India, Elixsoft and Royal Big Night are another trio that lend depth to an interesting contest.
  1. Oud Metha Bridge
  2. Love Your Work
  3. Elixsoft
