Looks a regressive filly, and has been well-beaten on each of her three starts in handicaps. Short break failed to have any impact when she returned to action at Kempton (7f; standard to slow) last month. Dropped 6lb for that, but can be ignored.
Most likeable profile in this contest, and showed enough in a trio of novices to suggest she could go close in a race of this nature. Makes handicap debut and opening mark seems fair so has excellent claims.
Showed some promise on her return from a year off the track when fifth at Newcastle (6f; standard) in December. Dropped 2lbs for that, but step up in trip offers room for improvement and she may be the dark horse in the race.
7lb below her last winning mark which she scored off over C&D this time last year. Hasn't looked like taking advantage of that in recent times though. Could be one to pop up and spring a surprise given her 5-12 record at this track overall. Risky.
Mark remains 6lbs above the one he scored off over C&D in October. Been in quiet form the last twice, and was well-beaten on his only previous start in a class 5.
Dropped a further 5lb after posting another woeful effort when last of seven at Chelmsford (1m; standard). Has failed to beat a single rival on each of three starts in handicaps, and more of the same looks likely.
Failed to justify market support (15/8f) at Newcastle (7f; standard) when fifth of eight last month. That took her losing run to this stable to 0-5. Stable going through quiet patch (22 runners/95 days since their last winners). Place claims.
0-5 on the AW, and although she wasn't disgraced on her seasonal return at Chelmsford (1m; standard) she didn't cause the leaders much trouble either. Yard have had 74 runners since their last winner, so she doesn't make overly great appeal.
10-race maiden who would have place claims on the strength of her third over C&D two starts ago. Not able to build upon that most recently, but possibly had excuses with the step up to 1m. Hard to fully dismiss.

Chloellie (7/4), I'll Be Brief (11/2), Penarth Pier (11/2), Waitaki (6/1), Meghan Sparkle (13/2), Javelin (8/1), Spanish Mane (10/1), Maerchengarten (25/1), Poetic Era (33/1), Moongazer (33/1)
Another race which is low in terms of quality, and that gives MEGHAN SPARKLE excellent claims of making a winning handicap debut. She showed improved form on seasonal reappearance when second at Wolverhampton, and given her lightly raced profile she has a lot more going for her than most of her rivals. One of the more less obvious players is I'll Be Brief who also produced a similarly encouraging display on return from a break when just failing to make the frame on handicap debut at Newcastle. She is open to more progress on this first try at 7f. Meanwhile, Maerchengarten shouldn't be dismissed fully if able to bounce back for being dropped in trip to 7f.
