Won a bumper on heavy. Made a promising start over fences at Hereford (2m, soft) in December, but so far unable to go on from there. Can't rule him out from this mark if able to bounce back, but has that to prove.
13-race maiden who has been placed from higher marks already this season, albeit both times over further. Has lost his way recently. Claims from this mark if bouncing back, but others press stronger cases.
Scored from today's mark over hurdles at Haydock (2m3f, soft) last March, after which he had wind surgery. Has not been able to kick on from there. Sliding in the handicap, but much more needed than we have seen of late.
Multiple 2m hurdle winner, including here on soft. Placed in both his first two chase runs on soft on Ffos Las and Hereford, the latter when 5lb lower. Well held when favourite at Leicester latest. Has that to overcome, but has claims if he can.
Won a Newcastle bumper on heavy on his debut in 2016, but has raced just six times since. Big step back in the right direction back at Newcastle last time (2m, soft) and looks a player up 2lb.
Bettered hurdles form on her chase debut when runner-up at Hereford last season, but lost her way after. Better effort latest back at Hereford (heavy), and therefore not one to write off after that.
0-10 under rules, and while he could be given a bit of a chance if producing his absolute best form here, he hasn't looked like doing so in recent runs. New headgear combination fitted.
Forecasts
Destined To Shine (3/1), Arian (10/3), Delface (7/2), Bestiarius (11/2), Haldon Hill (8/1), Twasn't The Plan (9/1), Sam Chisolm (16/1)
Delface ran flat at Leicester last time and his trainer could offer no explanation for that effort. If he can bounce back he has claims, but the suggestion is BESTIARIUS, who has conditions to suit and took a step in the right direction last time. Twasn't The Plan, Haldon Hill and Arian all have a bit to prove but are not written off.
