Well held in a couple of bumpers at Warwick and Ffos Las in the autumn, and 100-1 when falling at the last on his hurdles debut here last month. Others preferred.
Was nibbled at in the market but still a 25-1 chance on debut when a 32L last of nine in a Carlisle bumper (soft) in November. In good hands, but will need a huge improvement on that on this hurdles debut.
Stable's bumper strike rate is not high, so it was encouraging that he ran well when 11-1 on debut in such a contest at Ffos Las (heavy). Pedigree is all about stamina, so this trip may ask questions, but can probably make a good hurdles debut.
Irish point winner (third start; soft) in 2017, but has seen racecourse action under rules just three times since. Held when unseating when last seen at Perth in September, but there was some encouragement there. Not written off.
Promising gelding who won a soft ground bumper here in November. 0-3 since then over hurdles, but a reproduction of his best effort at Chepstow (2m, heavy) last month would see him go close.
Showed some ability in the other code on the AW last year. Improved on second start over hurdles, when dropped back to 2m at Plumpton last time. Will need more to win this, but not written off. Handles heavy.
Placed in a couple of Irish points, and showed first signs of promise under rules on his second start, in an Exetrer maiden hurdle (2m1f, heavy) last month. Has something to build on there. Not written off.
Best effort so far was her third in a good ground Market Rasen bumper last September. Unseated on hurdles debut and beaten a long way at Uttoxeter since then. Much more needed.
Failed to complete in two point-to-points, when 9-4 and 2-1 respectively. 33-1 then for her rules debut, when pulled up at Exeter (2m7f, heavy) last month. Drops significantly in trip and tongue-tie fitted, but can only watch.
Irish point runner-up on sole start in that sphere. Has been unable to show much in two rules outings so far. Had wind surgery since the more recent of those, so she may be able to do better, but others make more appeal today.
Hard to assess his French form, but was good enough to finish third on his hurdles debut at Nantes (2m1½f, heavy) when last seen in October. Changed hands for €50,000 since, and worth a market check on stable debut.

Jack Valentine (13/8), Tricky Customer (3/1), Pure Country (7/2), Gouet Des Bruyeres (11/1), Conkwell Legend (12/1), Tippingituptonancy (16/1), Darsi In The Park (25/1), Rob Royal (50/1), Brother Pat (66/1), Bay Of Intrigue (80/1), Kymata (125/1), Seb's Sister (150/1)
Another weak-looking contest, and bearing in mind that Oliver Greenall trained the winner of this last year, his British newcomer Gouet Des Bruyeres looks well worth a market check for any confidence in what he could produce. Jack Valentine can probably go well, while Darsi In The Park, Pure Country and Tricky Customer are others of interest. However, there was encouragement in the bumper run by CONKWELL LEGEND, and he is tentatively suggested as one who could make a winning hurdles debut.
- Conkwell Legend
- Jack Valentine
- Gouet Des Bruyeres
