Bumper winner who impressed when making a winning start over hurdles after a nine-month break. Knew his job well and won readily looking as though he would do better in a truly-run race; sure to improve, major player.
Debut bumper winner who caused a surprise when winning over C&D in novice company on his second attempt over hurdles (took advantage of the favourites early departure). Fell heavily when last seen, needs others to falter.
Useful sort on the Flat when with David O'Meara at up to 1m2f winning at Ayr in testing conditions on his penultimate start. Now makes hid hurdles debut for new connections having cost 72,000 guineas in October.
Modest staying maiden on the Flat at up to 2m (ran badly when last seen in that sphere). Pulled up on his only hurdles start so far in extremely testing conditions at Exeter in December when a 66-1 chance.
Offered a glimmer of ability on his hurdling debut having shown nothing in his Flat career for a while (modest maiden in that sphere). Pulled up when last seen over hurdles after a long break (out of his depth); hard to recommend.
Neither run over hurdles so far has suggested that he ca be competitive in this. May appreciate the better ground but looks one for low-level handicaps after this.
Fair form in two bumpers before making his hurdling debut at Ludlow last month and running to a similar level. Bumped into a useful sort last time and looks sure to improve especially when given a greater test of stamina.
Yard has had some success with this family; showed some ability on his debut bumper when given a considerate introduction at Plumpton. Didn't show any progress when making his hurdling debut; looks one for later on.
Returns from wind surgery with a tongue-tie on for the first time having gone backwards over hurdles after winning a bumper on his debut. Highly tried last time and no surprise to see him bounce back here for a top yard.
One of the most experienced runners in the field he's still to break his maiden over hurdles having had seven attempts. Beaten favourite when returned to novice company at Wincanton last time; may be worth a try at further.
Fair in bumpers he's shown improved form over hurdles finishing runner-up twice, although he still looked a work in progress last time. Sure to progress further he's has the look of one who needs a well run race; one for the shortlist.
Modest form so far over hurdles with his best effort over timber coming on his debut at Ffos Las over 2m in testing conditions (shaped like a stayer). Well beaten when last seen he needs this run for a mark before he heads to handicaps.
Fairly useful sort on the Flat in France where he won three times at up to 1m4f, last two wins coming in claimers. Makes GB/hurdles/stable debut having cost €16,000 in November; may need this having not been seen since June.
The only mare in the field she won her sole start in Irish point-to-points. Appeared unsuited by the test of speed in a Lingfield AW bumper; now makes her hurdling debut, likely to fare better when given a test of stamina.
First run for this yard having previously exceeded expectations by finishing third in a Fairyhouse Grade 3 on just his second hurdles start. Subsequently sold for £80,000 he now makes his GB debut; has to prove his last run was no fluke.

A fair sized field but as with many novice hurdles only a few have a chance of winning a race of this nature. With Nicky Henderson often running some of his best novice hurdlers here it’s hard to get away from the claims of the unbeaten CHANTRY HOUSE. He looked potentially smart when last seen at Cheltenham and is taken to defy his penalty. Namib Dancer has shown that he’s capable of winning a race such as this and looks the main danger. Tremwedge exceeded expectations last time at Fairyhouse and he’ll need to show that he can repeat that run for his new connections. L’Air Du Vent and Java Point are two others that should be considered.
