Turned out quickly again from debut victory when third (giving weight away all-round) at Chelmsford (5f; standard) just 10 days ago. That wasn't a bad effort, and he should be bang there in this less competitive affair.

Only ran twice last season, and there was no shame in him failing to get involved in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot (6f; good). Form of his debut victory wasn't outstanding, but this is a poor race and he is interesting.

Qualifies for a handicap mark after this, and that looks to be where her future lies given how poorly she has ran in her two career starts at this track. Unsuited by small-field last time out, and similar story awaits here.

Helmet filly who is the sole newcomer in the field, and makes minimal appeal on pedigree. Highly unlikely she will have a leading role to play in this contest, and so she is best watched.

Ran nowhere near the level the market expected her to (sent off 7-2f) when she faded to finish 12th of 13 on debut at Kempton (1m; standard to slow) in October. Market check advised again, as she may be a different horse now.

Forecasts

It'smabirthday (1/1), Majestic Sands (1/1), Youneverletmedown (18/1), Dream Game (28/1), Helmet House (33/1)

Verdict

It will be intriguing to see how Youneverletmedown fares on her return from an 83-day break, given how strong she was in the betting on debut back in October before running well below market expectations. Majestic Sands is particularly interesting as he drops in class after failing to land a blow in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot when last seen in June. He could turn out be the best of these in time, but he lacks race fitness which is something that can't be said for IT'SMABIRTHDAY. The selection scored on debut, and then went onto run respectably in defeat 10 days ago when conceding weight all round. He can get back to winning ways in this small field event.
