Sure to be a tactical affair but it's still a race in which PRIME VENTURE has a lot going for him and he can gain some compensation for his near miss in the Welsh National at Christmas. The trip and ground hold no fears for the gelding and he can make the most of weight he receives from Some Can Dance, who is respected but needs to prove a testing 3m will ideally suit. Aaron Lad still has scope to develop further as a chaser and is forwarded as the bigger threat to the selection this time.
