Losing run is beginning to mount up, but he has ran respectably in competitive handicaps/higher grade races than this the last twice. Won't be carrying top-weight with jockeys claim taken into account which is helpful. Solid place contender.
Three-time C&D winner but patchy record of late. Dropped 3lb since finishing down the field on her seasonal return to action at Warwick (3m2f; soft). Looks well-treated if stripping fitter for that reappearance run but others look more reliable.
On a long losing run and is 0-5 since joining this stable. However, there were more encouraging signs at Wincanton (2m5f; soft) recently when he finished fourth. Could outrun his odds off a 2lb lower mark if able to reproduce that form.
Still not fully exposed as of yet, and he was beaten when falling at Ludlow (3m; soft) just 12 days ago. Handicapper still isn't relenting, and he is opposed until offering more encouraging signs.
Looked to be going the right way prior to being tailed off when upped in grade at Kempton (3m; soft) recently. Drops back into a class 4, and holds some good course form to her name (including a win in February 2019). Respected.
Won for the first time in over a year when successful at Lingfield (2m7f; heavy) last time out. Raised 6lb for that victory to a career high mark, which is concerning as she is unlikely to have masses of improvement in her for at this age.
Shown a steady rate of improvement with each start since switched to hurdles. Now makes handicap debut at a track where this yard tend to do well. Shortlist material even though he needs to improve. Interesting to see what the market makes of him.
Yet to register a win over hurdles in five attempts, though his recent second at Ascot (2m7f; heavy) just before Christmas represented a career-best. Could get seriously involved if able to build upon that.
Pulled-up on seasonal return when tailed-off at this course over 2m4f at the start of the month. Now steps back up to 3m1f, and is 2lb below his last winning mark. However, previous two runs leave him with something to prove.
Forecasts
Mister Murchan (11/4), Treasure Dillon (10/3), Tambura (4/1), Jully Les Buxy (13/2), Fortunate George (7/1), Invincible Cave (11/1), Ding Ding (14/1), Benevolentdictator (16/1), Cassivellaunus (66/1)
A mixture of profiles on show and despite her patchy recent record, course specialist Tambura may be revitalised for running back at this track on her second start of the season. The handicap newcomer Benevolentdictator needs to step up slightly, but he is lightly raced and should enjoy plenty of success at this level. Fortunate George is a consistent sort who is hard to see out of the frame as he drops in grade to a class four handicap for the first time. However, the selection is MISTER MURCHAN who is getting better with experience and posted a career best at Ascot when runner-up last time out. He can get off the mark in handicaps at the fourth time of asking.
- Mister Murchan
- Fortunate George
- Benevolentdictator
