Well-related point-to-point winner. Looked winner for much of the straight when a head second of 9 to Assemble in a maiden bumper at Fairyhouse in November. Likely to improve.
€65,000 Fame And Glory gelding out of moderate maiden. 3m maiden point winner in May and shaped with promise before tiring on first start under Rules at Punchestown in November. Should be straighter now.

€78,000 3-y-o half-brother to smart chaser Baily Cloud and bumper winner Capilla. Weakened over 3f on debut in a Punchestown bumper on yielding ground when last seen in April. Others look open to more improvement.
Half-brother to smart bumper/hurdle winner Next Destination; related to many other decent National Hunt types; respected on debut from powerful yard and market will provide level of confidence of connections.

Horse silk
33/1
Fairly Ransom gelding out of Irish bred mare: one paced from a long way out on debut at Limerick in December; entitled to improve but others preferred.

Forecasts

Eskylane (8/15), Battle Of Actium (7/2), Don't Tell Allen (5/1), Bulldoze (16/1), Thirtyfourstitches (33/1)

Verdict

the gelding BATTLE OF ACTIUM showed enough promise on his bumper debut in November to suggest this former point-to-point winner is capable of landing a race of this quality. He only tired in the closing stages of that race at Punchestown and is entitled to be fitter here. Don't Tell Allen is a well bred contestant for Willie Mullins and is expected to give a good account of himself on his debut. Strong market moves would be interesting. Eskylane ran well enough on his only racecourse appearance at Fairyhouse in November and has scope for improvement.
  1. Battle Of Actium
  2. Don't Tell Allen
  3. Eskylane
