Won twice in bumpers before getting off the mark over hurdles in a Carlisle maiden in November. Weakened rather tamely on handicap bow at Doncaster, and unproven over this trip.
Stepped up on previous efforts this term when a neck second of 10 to Shetland Bus in a conditional riders' handicap over C&D last time. Collared only late there, and every chance of making amends after a 3lb rise.
Runner-up over C&D in February, and showed improved form when winning a mares handicap at Kelso last time by 1½L from Sophie Fatal. Could have more to offer with that being her handicap debut.
Matched pick of his form when second to Not The Chablis over C&D last time, although really should have won there, and his attitude under pressure is a concern.
Set to be placed when falling over 2m here in November, and is fit from a couple of outings on the AW at Newcastle since. Could go well, but he's now failed to complete on his last three starts in this sphere.
Off a year after being pulled up in a Limerick handicap hurdle in December 2018, and suffered the same fate at Punchestown last month. Blinkered now, but makes minimal appeal.
Placed in a C&D handicap on her penultimate start, and ran to a similar level when sixth of 12 to Not The Chablis here last time. Shouldn't be too far away if maintaining that level of form.
Modest at best in qualifying, but much improved when beating Titus Bolt over 2m here on handicap debut. Runner-up disappointing since, but he's not taken lightly with the real possibility of progress at this longer trip.
Had dropped significantly in the weights before landing a C&D handicap last time by ¾L from Highway Companion. Needs to show he can back that effort up given his patchy profile.
Has looked very limited on the flat, and no impact on a handful of runs over hurdles. Surprise to see him figure here.
Bit disappointing given his useful pedigree, but did get back on track when a close fourth of 12 to Not The Chablis over C&D last time. Not certain to be in the same form now, however.
Forecasts
Tabou Beach Boy (4/1), Highway Companion (6/1), Not The Chablis (6/1), Animore (6/1), Curramore (13/2), Lastofthecosmics (15/2), Cousin Oscar (9/1), Pammi (18/1), Ballinlina Boy (18/1), Needs To Be Seen (22/1), Abouttimeyoutoldme (50/1)
Animore is respected after showing improved form at Kelso, but she may have to play second fiddle to recent course winner TABOU BEACH BOY, who should improve further at this longer trip. Highway Companion has the talent to go close, and is respected, but he does need to apply himself better than he did here last time.
- Tabou Beach Boy
- Animore
- Highway Companion
