Lightly raced gelding not seen since May last year. Only runner on the night for trainer who has sent out seven winners and a further five to hit the frame from 30 starters here in the first three weeks of the year since 2016.
Comes here on a hat-trick of wins at the track following a couple of victories last month including over C&D off an 11lb higher mark. Difficult task off revised mark but merits plenty of respect.
All four career wins have come over C&D from 11 starts over the combination. Last win at this venue came over two years ago and still the consistent gelding races 5lb higher than last winning mark.
Continues to run well in defeat following a first career victory over C&D last month off a 8lb lower mark. Represents a yard with a 40% win and place strike rate here in the last four years in the first three weeks of the year.
Winner at this track on four occasions but the Oratorio gelding is still looking for his first win over C&D in eight starts. Can give a good account without posing serious threat to principals.
Has taken to the track well in a couple of starts here since a debut win in October over 7f. Since 2016 yard have a solid 50% win and place strike rate from 12 runners at this track in the first three weeks of the year.
Mixed bag of efforts in five starts on this surface since October. Has never been the easiest to catch right but worth a market check on first start over this trip.
Seven-race maiden yet to trouble the judge in three desolate efforts at this track since October. Still looking no nearer to breakthrough success.
Winner of three of his 21 starts at this track including a couple of victories over C&D from just five starts over the combination. Could be a lively outsider racing 22lbs lower than last winning mark.
Winner of two races on turf previously the mare is without a success in 10 starts at the track including four starts over C&D. Lightly raced in the last two years Infrequent visits to the course will not be helping the mare to progress in the game.
Winner of one of his three starts over C&D and ran well in defeat over the combination finishing fifth of 14 beaten 4¾L earlier this month. Not easily dismissed racing 10lb lower than last winning mark.
Running off career high marks on his final couple of starts for trainer David Barron towards the end of the Flat season in UK. Pleasing effort here over 7f on first start for new connections earlier this month but more needed in this contest.
Running admirably in victory and defeat in a number of starts since here since November. Yard hold a 24% win and place strike rate in the first three weeks of the year since 2016 from 41 starters at the track.
Three-time course winner the Showcasing gelding has won one of his five starts previously over C&D. Holds strong claims if things fall his way.

Trainer Ger Lyons has produced Phoenix Open and Ela Katrina to win at this venue from three runners since the turn of the year and the handler can add to that tally with BUCKY LARSON his only runner at the track this evening. The lightly raced five-year-old can overcome a lay-off to land the spoils ahead of the Joseph O'Brien-trained Will Be King and the improving Iffraaj gelding, Able Jack who arrives here bidding for a hat-trick of wins. The David Marnane-trained Koybig who is a four-time winner over C&D appears cable of hitting the frame at a price.
- Bucky Larson
- Will Be King
