Previous C&D winner (2017), has become something of a hit and miss character but in fine fettle last month when scoring by 12L at Ffos Las over similar trip on heavy going. 7lb higher now but key player if in same mood.
Dead-heated over similar trip at Ffos Las in February; fair third behind next-time-out winner at same venue in November's reappearance and could well be more to come in first-time blinkers here.
Won four times over fences in a single month after joining Tom Lacey in early 2018; has managed only three starts since however and well held behind Lac Sacre (fifth) on debut for this trainer at Ffos Las.
Put a couple of laboured efforts behind him when scoring at Fontwell (2m5½f, soft; 9-2) before Christmas; yet to truly prove stamina for this longer trip but worth another try having gone up 5lb for game success latest.
2-14 over fences and both wins at 3m+ on soft ground. Runner-up in two December starts at Haydock and Uttoxeter, building on seasonal bow here previous month. Mark untouched and should give solid account.
Return to hurdles appeared to suit when finishing runner-up over 2m5f at Ludlow (soft) on his penultimate start. Unseated rider back over fences at Uttoxeter (3m, heavy) last time out and he is probably best watched at present.
Off the mark over fences at Taunton (2m5½f, good to soft; 7-1) in November, didn't get beyond the first at Catterick late last month on follow-up attempt from this 6lb higher mark; worth another chance but two incompletions from four over fences.
C&D winner in October on seasonal bow/first run after wind surgery. Remains 5lb clear of that mark and has run three poor races since. Gets a first-time visor here.
Made a winning return to action over C&D back in November. Has not been able to add to his tally in three runs since. He finished fourth of nine at Uttoxeter (3m, heavy; 8-1) over Christmas and isn't one to write off just yet.
Point-to-point winner on good-to-soft ground was pulled up on Rules bow before 66/1 second over 2m7f at Exeter. Unseated on the Flat at Taunton latest but still an unexposed sort who clearly handles testing conditions.

Forecasts
Alminar (4/1), The Ogle Gogle Man (4/1), Troed Y Melin (11/2), Big Meadow (6/1), Pres (13/2), On The Road (7/1), Lac Sacre (9/1), Hugo's Reflection (10/1), Adherence (16/1), Silent Steps (16/1), Alberto's Dream (20/1)
Last time out winners Hugo's Reflection and Lac Sacre are respected despite the ratings rises meted out to them while The Ogle Gogle Man and Big Meadow should give solid accounts of themselves. A winner of heavy ground at Lingfield in November, PRES ran well there (second) next time and could bounce back to form having been held in a stronger race than this at Wincanton n Boxing Day.
- Pres
- Lac Sacre
- Hugo's Reflection
