2lb higher than when scoring over C&D in October (beat Bee Machine by 1½L); a pacy type who was hindered by a wide draw at Wolverhampton (6f) six weeks ago.
Finished down the field (19th of 24) in the Bronze Cup at Ayr (6f, good) in September; ran extremely well when beaten a head (Al Suil Eile third, Global Melody fourth) on Fibresand debut here last week.
Narrowly beaten on both starts on Fibresand (6f-7f); started 9-4f when slotting in immediately behind (third) the reopposing Global Hope here last week; one for the shortlist.
Twice successful over C&D last winter for Richard Fahey; 3lb lower than when beaten ½L by Bedtime Bella in a C&D claimer on his penultimate start; has something to find with Al Suil Eile.
Kept busy in recent weeks since finishing a head second to Liamba over C&D in mid-December; is closely matched with Global Hope and Al Suil Eile; carries no penalty for Tuesday's 5f apprentices' handicap win.
6lb higher than when winning on soft ground for Tim Easterby at Catterick (7f) in August; 0-6 on the AW, finishing behind the likes of Global Melody, Global Hope and Al Suil Eile et al more latterly.
Six-race maiden with form on various artificial surfaces (including Fibresand); was beaten a neck by the 25-1 shot Alisia R at Musselburgh (5f, gd/fm) in July; no doubt was in need of her recent comeback run (Wolverhampton).
Forecasts
Global Hope (15/8), Al Suil Eile (3/1), The Right Choice (4/1), Global Melody (5/1), Requited (8/1), Our Charlie Brown (33/1), Jungle Secret (40/1)
A trappy contest with fine margins between a plethora of those declared. Therefore, this race makes precious little appeal for punting purposes. Global Melody escapes a penalty for Tuesday's course win (5f apprentices' handicap) so the chances are that he'll be figuring towards the top-end of the market as a result. With no strong conviction, a token value-based selection is the John Quinn-trained AL SUIL EILE with the AW man of the moment Ben Curtis taking over from Jason Hart in the saddle.
- Al Suil Eile
- Global Hope
- Global Melody
