Finished in front of Storm Force One and Zara's Universe when fourth in a similar race on debut over C&D last month. Should improve with experience now on her side. Likely to be in the shake-up.
Daughter of Intello. £16,000 purchase at Doncaster sales in August 2019. Represents yard who are in-form and do well with newcomers in these types of races. Market check advised.
Gentlewave filly who makes debut for connections who aren't readily associated with newcomer/bumper winners. Likely to need further, and is best watched against speedier bred rivals.

Martaline filly who cost £26,000 as a three-year-old. This trip likely to be a bit sharp given she is related to French horses who won over 2m3f/2m4f. Should have a bright future though.

Made a very pleasing start to life when third in a better race on debut at Newbury (1m4f; soft) recently. Comfortably clear of the fourth that day, and any improvement from that effort would make her hard to beat.
Newcomer by Malinas for yard with 19% strike-rate at this track, and a 15% strike rate in bumpers. Market check advised with this one, but this isn't an easy race to start off in.
Third in a warm contest behind a potentially above-average winner at Newcastle (1m6f; soft) on debut. Drops back slightly in trip, which shouldn't be a hinderance and jockey booking looks significant. Leading claims.
Yard form is a worry, but this Sageburg filly has a smart middle-distance flat pedigree. Significant if she is strong in the betting on debut in what looks an open contest.

Offered glimpses of promise in fifth on debut over C&D last month when looking as though he was getting the hang of things late on. Could be a different proposition now and has place claims if so.

Would need to step up significantly on the bare form of her debut effort over C&D last month when a well-beaten eighth of 11. Should improve once sent hurdling given she is a half-sister to Ryedale Racer.

Forecasts

Maridadi (5/2), She'soneofourown (5/2), Cutting Sword (11/2), Lime Drop (7/1), On My Command (8/1), Merry Berry (14/1), Belle O' The Dales (22/1), Gentle Rose (33/1), Storm Force One (40/1), Zara's Universe (125/1)

Verdict

A decent 'junior' bumper to round off proceedings. Of the newcomers, Cutting Sword looks to be the pick given how well the yard do in these types of races, added to the fact they are currently operating at a 23% strike-rate. Belle O' The Dales and Storm Force One should feature after they were prominent on debut in a similar race last month. However, this looks to concern On My Command and MARIDADI. Preference is given to the latter as the strength of the bumper she finished third in at Newbury on debut looks that bit stronger than the formers. Stuart Crawford's charge is still respected with the booking of Brian Hughes an eye-catching one.
  1. Maridadi
  2. On My Command
  3. Cutting Sword
