Landed 2m maiden hurdle at Naas last February. Unseated rider at 4th on chasing bow at Gowran Park in October but fair third despite some cautious leaps at Punchestown 10 days later. Returns from three-month break.
Winner of French 2m2f conditions hurdle prior to joining current yard. Showed fair form without scoring in six attempts over timber at up to 3m. Faded from 3 out on chasing bow last month but will know more now.
Roscommon 2m4f modest maiden hurdle winner in July 2018. Only three starts since but was disputing lead when fell 4 out on chasing bow at Limerick 12 days ago. Not out of it if confidence hasn't been dented.
Winning pointer but hasn't shown very much under Rules in hunter chases and beginners chases. Hard to see him getting involved at this level.
Won three handicap hurdles at up to 2m4f and shaped well on chasing bow here in November when 4th of 15 over 2m2f. Step up in trip will suit and looks a major player this time.
High-class Flat stayer, placed in two Melbourne Cups. Only hurdles success came here over 2m back in 2014, but was useful second in 2015 Galway Hurdle. Makes chasing bow for top yard and has obvious credentials as the class act in the race.
Tramore 2m5f maiden hurdle scorer in January 2019. Fair chasing bow when fifth of 18 at Fairyhouse in November. Will know more about it now and represents team still very much among the winners.
Disappointing Mahler gelding who hasn't shown a great deal to crow about in five starts so far. 10th of 17 on chasing bow at Punchestown in November after always racing in rear division. Likely to need more time.
Modest nine-race maiden in bumpers and hurdles. Makes chasing bow here and expected to find this company a very stiff test.
Maiden pointer who raced prominently on Rules bow here in a bumper before fading quickly from 2 out. Goes straight on to fences and looks to have a great deal on his plate. Wears first-time tongue-tie.
Winning 3m handicap hurdler . Left distant second of five on chasing bow in mares event at Naas last week. Likely to find this trip sharp enough and has quite a bit to find on hurdles rating to trouble anticipated principals.
Modest maiden handicap hurdler. Beaten a long way on chasing debut at Cork last week where jumped deliberately. Looks out of her depth and may struggle.
Forecasts
Mormon (11/8), Max Dynamite (4/1), Elwood (9/2), Advantage Point (11/2), Line Out (7/1), Goodnightngodbless (14/1), Gaillimh Abu (100/1), Shannon Tide (100/1), Krisquin (100/1), My First Symphony (100/1), Woddy Wynne (100/1), Singirishmansing (100/1)
MAX DYNAMITE has been a fantastic servant to the Mullins team and is by some way the class performer here. Despite advancing years he still ran to a high level on the Flat last term and it's fascinating to see him going chasing at this stage. If he jumps adequately he should have too many gears for his rivals. Line Out is no mug and should make an impression in this sphere, but the form of Advantage Point's third last time reads well with the winner having gone on to land a Grade 1 so he could give the selection most to do. The Gigginstown pair of Elwood and Mormon look best of the rest.
- Max Dynamite
- Advantage Point
- Line Out
